The Blue Wave 🌊 defy projections, defeat Firestorm in 178.58-119.20 rout
The Blue Wave 🌊 stepped up, cruising to a 178.58-119.20 win over Firestorm. Firestorm pulled out to a 3.10-point lead on Thursday, but it was all The Blue Wave 🌊 after that. They were led by Cooper Kupp (7 Rec, 220 Rec Yds, 1 Rec TD) and Tevin Coleman (105 Rush Yds, 3 Rush TDs, 13 Rec Yds, 1 Rec TD). Derek Carr (285 Pass Yds, 3 Pass TDs) and Dalvin Cook (98 Rush Yds, 1 Rush TD, 73 Rec Yds) did their part for Firestorm in defeat. The Blue Wave 🌊 (4-4) will look to keep it rolling against The Dog House, while Firestorm (5-3) meet The Conglomerate in an effort to right the ship.
Coleman racked up 118 yards from scrimmage and scored 4 touchdowns as the 49ers beat the Panthers 51-13. In doing so, he put up 37.8 points and more-than-quadrupled his scoring projection, the third-highest percent increase of any player in the league this season. Coleman will go up against the Cardinals in Week 9.
Sunday Early
Both teams had players with highlight-reel moments early Sunday, but it was The Blue Wave 🌊 who owned the lead, 117.88-70.70. Jared Goff hit Cooper Kupp on multiple big plays for The Blue Wave 🌊: a 65-yard touchdown pass and a 40-yard pass. Goff also lit up the scoreboard with a 31-yard touchdown pass. Leonard Fournette made the highlight reel for Firestorm with a 66-yard run.

There were players with standout moments for both teams on Sunday afternoon, after which The Blue Wave 🌊 emerged with a 172.58-112.20 lead. For The Blue Wave 🌊, Tevin Coleman had a 48-yard touchdown run. Derek Carr made the highlight reel for Firestorm with a 65-yard touchdown pass and a 46-yard touchdown pass.

Firestorm
Things get no easier for third-place Firestorm, since they now have to go toe-to-toe against first-place The Conglomerate in Week 9. Firestorm might have to rearrange their lineup a bit with the Los Angeles Rams defense, Joe Mixon, and Brandin Cooks out on bye next week. After eight weeks of action, Firestorm have posted the second-most points in the league. The Conglomerate (and their 107.92 points per game) are ranked seventh.
