Toxins fall short of predictions, succumb to WannaBes in 96.96-74.00 rout

Toxins were unable to bring their A game, as WannaBes rolled to a 96.96-74.00 win. WannaBes leapt out to a 27.8-point lead on Saturday behind impressive efforts from Todd Gurley II (48 Rush Yds, 2 Rush TDs) and Ka'imi Fairbairn (3-3 FG, 37 long, 2-2 XP) and never looked back. Michael Thomas (20.6 points) and the Minnesota Vikings defense (12) did their part for Toxins in the loss. This marks the first time this season WannaBes have taken down Toxins, after falling 87.46-68.64 in their last matchup. WannaBes will look to clinch the league title next week, while Toxins attempt to rebound and lock up 3rd Place.

Coach Talk

WannaBes
Hey, this sport is all about creating mismatches, right? Thanks to a solid display by Drew Brees, we doubled up Toxins at the quarterback position this past week (22.86 points to 11.3). Brees went 27-for-38 for 279 yards and three TDs in a 38-28 win over the Titans.
Toxins
Unless Toxins wants to go full diva-mode, then "not seeing enough opportunities" won't cut it as an excuse this time around. As a group, our pass-catching corps (three WR and one TE) collectively got a hearty 31 targets in Week 16. With only 17 total receptions, that group may be showing signs of chemistry issues.
