Los Jefes outperform projections, come back to win against Book of Eli in 193.98-143.74 rout
Both teams exceeded expectations, but Los Jefes knocked off Book of Eli. Predicted to win 124.91-124.46, Los Jefes rolled to a 193.98-143.74 win over Book of Eli. Book of Eli pulled out to a 25.10-point lead on Thursday, but it was all Los Jefes after that. They were led by Drew Brees (307 Pass Yds, 4 Pass TDs) and Julio Jones (13 Rec, 134 Rec Yds, 2 Rec TDs). Ezekiel Elliott (29.5 points) and Russell Wilson (23.34) led the way for Book of Eli in the loss. This marks the second time this season Los Jefes have gotten the best of Book of Eli, after winning 130.84-111.04 in their last matchup. Los Jefes will look to keep winning in next week's semifinals, while Book of Eli attempt to bounce back and finish the season with a win in the 5th Place game.
While catching 13 passes for 134 yards and 2 touchdowns against the 49ers, Jones registered 31.9 points this week. His scoring output more-than-doubled his 14.49-point projection and was much higher than his 12.78-point season scoring average. Jones ranks #39 among all fantasy players this season and will face the Jaguars next week.
Sunday Early
Both teams had players with big-time plays early Sunday, after which Book of Eli boasted a 76.14-62.80 lead. For Los Jefes, DeVante Parker had a 29-yard touchdown catch and a 20-yard touchdown catch. Russell Wilson made the highlight reel for Book of Eli with a 58-yard pass and a 44-yard pass.
Monday
Drew Brees had a 28-yard touchdown pass and a 21-yard touchdown pass for Los Jefes on Monday night, helping push the team to the win.
Los Jefes
Wow, that Colts secondary didn't see it coming! 29 completions on 30 attempts... good enough for a completion percentage of 97 percent for Drew Brees. We know the GM of Los Jefes has gotta be appreciative of this type of attention to detail.
Book of Eli
Unless Book of Eli wants to go full diva-mode, then "not getting enough looks" isn't really a reasonable excuse this time around. Our pass-catching corps (two WR and one TE) were targeted a grand total of 31 times in Week 15. With only 19 total catches, this group may have some chemistry issues.
