GoldDiggers knock off Ligers for fifth straight win in 128.00-107.00 rout

GoldDiggers extended their win streak to five games with an easy victory over Ligers, rolling to a 128.00-107.00 win. GoldDiggers grabbed an early 7.75-point lead on Thursday. Ligers came back to take the lead early afternoon Sunday, powered by Michael Thomas (27.25 points) and Bilal Powell (14.25). Not to be deterred, GoldDiggers pulled it together later that afternoon, as Austin Ekeler (32 points) and Melvin Gordon III (19.75) put them back on top once and for all. This marks the first time this season GoldDiggers have gotten the best of Ligers, after falling 128.75-111.25 in their last matchup. GoldDiggers will look to keep it rolling in next week's semifinals, while Ligers attempt to rebound and finish the season with a win in the 5th Place game.

Coach Talk

GoldDiggers
Football is all about creating mismatches. Fueled by some monster yardage production from our running backs, our team created a noticeable disparity this week. Our three starting backs recorded 210 more yards from scrimmage than the RBs on Ligers (352 total yards to 142), as we ultimately doubled up them at the position, 68.25 points to 28.25.
Ligers
Talk about old-school ground n' pound: The starting RBs for Ligers collectively registered three catches on just four measly targets this past week.
