Commish Notes

  • Welcome back to year 10 of JFFLeague, managers. This year we have 1 new manager. I appreciate the consistency the league has with the managers. Thank you all.

    LEAGUE RULES...

    Drafting...
Draft will be held the week before week 1.

Each team must enter with 14 draft slots

Trades can be made involving exchanges of draft picks only, budget money and/or trading some combination of player(s) and draft picks. It is important to note that you are trading for an owner's pick in a given round.
    Example:
team A wants to trade there 1st round 1st overall pick to team b for there 1st round 5th overall pick, both managers must agree and email me the trade info. Once i recieve the email i will manually propose the trade and post it on our message board so all managers can view the transaction.

The deadline for the trading draft picks or keepers is 2 hours before drtf begins.

    TRADING...

Preseason trading : before draft day, you are allowed to trade keeper players and/or any number of draft picks. when keeper players are traded, the previous owner will no longer lose that keepers draft round, instead, the new owner will place the keeper player in his respective draft round.
example: TEAM A trades his keeper player (that occupied his 1st round pick) to TEAM B for his keeper player (that occupied his 3 round pick). When this transaction is accepted, TEAM A no longer has a keeper player occupying his round 1 pick instead TEAM B will lose his 1st round pick and TEAM A will lose HIs 3rd Round pick.

Trading at this period well be an even transaction unless there is an unbalance amount of draft slots per team (1 for 1, 2 for 2, 3 for 3)

example: TEAM A want to trade his keeper player to TEAM B for his 1st round and 3 round draft picks. In order for this transaction to work, TEAM A will need to include an additional player or draft pick (maybe draft pick round 14). "It can not be a 2 for 1 deal.
Every team must have 14 draft slots come draft day.

During the season; you can trade player(s) for player(s) , budget money and/or next years draft picks..
(When you trade for a next years draft pick, you are trading for that draft pick round SLOT. Therfore, the manager cannot keep the player previously drafted on that round because it is no longer there round slot).

A trade can be made at any time (before trade deadline) with any manager for any player/draft pick on there roster and/or budget money. When you propose a trade to a manager, The trade proposal will come to me via email. Only i can evaluate and accept the trade.
When a trade is accepted, THE PLAYER that was traded CANNOT be retraded to the previous owner and must remain on your roster for atleast 3 weeks and must be in your starting lineup atleast 1 week from those 3 weeks. After the 3 weeks are in, you have the option to keep, trade or drop the player. Anyone who fails to obey this rule will be penalize with your team getting locked for one week and placing a starting player from your roster to your bench the same week. I dont want to be harsh but this is a very important rule

    Keeper Player...

After the season is over, Each owner is allowed to retain one player they own during the season and will be added to there team next season, eliminating these players from the draft. Once you keep a player, you will lose a draft pick on the following year. The draft pick round lost will be determined on the round the keeper player was drafted the previous year.

    Example:
(Team A) drafts Tom Brady in the 1st round and Adrian Peterson in the 2nd round. At the end of the season (Team A) decides to make Adrian Peterson his/her keeper player. The next season Adrian Peterson will remain on there roster but will lose there 2nd Round draft pick.

You must choose one keeper player. You cannot drop a keeper player (unless he is injured) but you can trade to another team.

UNDRAFTED player are not considered a keeper player. You can only keep a player that.
    A. was picked during draft day by you or any manager.
    B. played 75% of there games the year before.

Preseason keeper injury: If your keeper player gets injured before draft day. You are allowed to change your keeper player.

After draft day: Once draft is over, you are allowed to trade keeper players as stated above in trading rules.

Each year you will select a different keeper player. All Old keeper players will return to the draft pool. Even if they were acquired through trade.

Budget Money: Every manager will start with $100 of ( not real money) budget money. This is used to bit on a player that is on waiver in the free agent pool.

Free agent players will automatically go on waivers as soon as there team starts there weekly game.
at this point you can bit on that player. highest bitter will claim the player.
wednesday of every week waiver players will convert into free agent player where you will be allowed to pick up at no cost.

    NEW MANAGERS:
New managers coming into the league will take over an existing team, ke
