Despite defying expectations, Mushroom Capital play to 123-123 draw against The Bonesmashers

Both teams stepped up and outperformed expectations, but it wasn't enough to declare a winner. Mushroom Capital was predicted to win 108-106, but they weren't able to pull it out in the end as the two teams impersonated the Lions and Cardinals and played to a 123-123 draw. This marks the zeroth time this season Mushroom Capital have gotten the best of The Bonesmashers, after falling 94-90 in their last matchup. Both Mushroom Capital (4-8-1) and The Bonesmashers (5-7-1) will be home for the playoffs.

Coach Talk

Mushroom Capital
Well, Mushroom Capital, a tie isn't exactly the ideal scenario we'd all hoped for, but at least it's not a loss, eh? Consider this fair warning: if you think it could potentially happen again in the postseason, be sure to know your league's tiebreaker procedures!
The Bonesmashers
Here's a list of scenarios where it's (borderline) acceptable to go 0-for-2 in sports: A double-fault in tennis, a hitter's line in baseball, and the Jazz facing MJ's Bulls in the Finals. That's basically it. Going 0-for-2 on field goal attempts this past week? Sounds like Brett Maher might have just kicked himself back into the free agent pool after this performance.
