Diddy fall short of projections, lose to Wheezy, 90.60-81.12
There's no easy way to say it, Diddy underdelivered, at least based on projections, as Wheezy earned a 90.60-81.12 win. Diddy jumped out to a 25.50-point lead on Thursday behind an outstanding effort from the New England Patriots defense (14 Pts Allowed, 213 Yds Allowed, 4 Turnovers). But Wheezy held the lead the rest of the way, powered by Kyler Murray (28.8 points) and Nick Chubb (23.9). Wheezy improve to 4-2 on the season, while Diddy fall to 5-1.
Chubb racked up 139 yards from scrimmage and ran for 2 touchdowns as the Browns lost to the Seahawks 32-28. In doing so, he put up 23.9 points to scored 55.4% higher than his 15.38-point projection, the highest percentage of any player on Wheezy this week. Chubb will square off against the Patriots in Week 7.
Sunday Early
There were players with standout moments for both teams early Sunday, but it was Diddy who claimed the lead, 66.40-37.60. For Wheezy, Nick Chubb had a 52-yard run. Christian McCaffrey made the highlight reel for Diddy with a 25-yard touchdown catch.
Sunday Late
There were players with big-time plays for both teams on Sunday afternoon, but after all the plays were accounted for, Wheezy owned an 86.40-81.12 lead. For Wheezy, Kyler Murray had a 20-yard touchdown pass and a 58-yard pass. Courtland Sutton made the highlight reel for Diddy with a 41-yard catch.
Wheezy
You know Wheezy, I'm a glass-half-full kind of coach. While some may harp on the fact that our scoring output has slipped lately, I'll choose to spin this in a positive direction. Averaging 106.77 points through Week 5, our crew has obviously proven that it's even stronger than the 90.6 we needed to win this past week!
Diddy
Diddy will find it tough to gripe about lack of opportunities this past week. Our trio of pass-catchers (two WR, one TE) were targeted a grand total of 20 times in Week 6. Chemistry and timing appear to be issues as that group managed just 11 receptions.
