Fantasy Champs couldn't capitalize on the No. 5 overall pick, drafting a roster that may have trouble picking up wins. Opponents could enjoy overwhelming them on a weekly basis, as this team is projected to finish 11th in Hiawatha Elite League. Fantasy Champs are looking at a record of 3-10 (1,557 points).

  • Russell Wilson

Biggest Steal: What a great mid-round bargain for Fantasy Champs, who selected Wilson in the 9th round, about three rounds later than his ADP of 67. After a season in which he threw for 3,448 yards and 35 TDs with 7 interceptions and accumulated 376 yards, totaling 305 fantasy points, Wilson is projected to score 327 fantasy points with the Seahawks. That makes him a valuable No. 1 QB for this squad.

  • Ronald Jones II

Stretch Pick: You must know something nobody else does. We're not sure why else you would choose Jones II in the 8th round, about three rounds earlier than his ADP of 127. Projected to score 62 fantasy points this season with the Buccaneers, he seems set to beat his rookie year when he ran 23 times for 44 yards and 1 TD over 7 games, earning 14 fantasy points. According to projections, Jones II will slot in as the No. 4 RB for Fantasy Champs to begin the season.

Draft Notes

  • Better late than never. With the selection of QB Russell Wilson (No. 101 overall), you became the last owner in the league to draft a quarterback.

  • Fantasy Champs are in for a rude awakening in Week 9 when they have four players on a bye (Todd Gurley II, Devonta Freeman, New Orleans, and Jared Cook). Fear not: your Week 9 opponent -- Touchdown Abbey -- will also be facing their worst bye week with four players on the sideline.

  • With a strength of schedule rated as the 3rd-most difficult based on projected records, Fantasy Champs have one of the hardest schedules in Hiawatha Elite League this season. Don't lose hope, though. Strength of schedule doesn't say anything about how much work you put in. There are a number of methods to improve your team over the course of the season for owners who remain active.

  • Fantasy Champs are counting on veteran leadership to rein in youthful exuberance, compiling a balanced squad with an average of 5.4 years of NFL experience, ranking in the middle of the pack for the league. They selected one rookie (Tony Pollard). In total, there were 12 rookies selected over the course of the Hiawatha Elite League draft.

How We Grade

Draft grades are based strictly on teams' draft performances. This is calculated by counting the number of fantasy points teams are projected to score over the course of the season using their optimal line-ups. The grades do not take schedule into account. Because of bye weeks and other variables it is possible to earn a high grade yet be projected to finish in the middle of the pack. The opposite is also true. Bottom line: Fantasy Football is like the real game. You can draft the greatest talent in the world but you still need to manage your team every week to get the most out of that talent. As a wise man once said, "On any given Sunday..."
