Picking in the back half of the first round (No. 7 overall), Tragically Malicious can blame this unimpressive performance on their below-average draft position. With a projected record of 5-8 (1,554 points), this team worries no one. While DeAndre Hopkins and Odell Beckham Jr. are expected to combine for the highest point total of all starting WR groups in the league, Tragically Malicious are predicted to finish 9th in Hiawatha Elite League.

  • Matt Ryan

Biggest Steal: What a tremendous mid-round bargain for Tragically Malicious, who selected Ryan with the 7th pick in the 7th round, about 14 slots later than his ADP of 65. After a season in which he threw for 4,924 yards and 35 TDs with 7 INTs, totaling 361 fantasy points, Ryan is projected to score 315 fantasy points with the Falcons. That makes him a valuable No. 1 QB for this squad.

  • Geronimo Allison

Going out on a Limb: Are you willing to reveal your source? We'd love to hear what prompted you to select Allison with the 7th pick in the 9th round, about 23 picks earlier than his ADP of 126. Projected to score 54 fantasy points this season with the Packers, he appears poised to improve upon last year when he hauled in 20 balls for 303 yards and 2 TDs in 5 games, posting 42 fantasy points. Allison will slot in as the No. 5 WR for Tragically Malicious, according to projected points.

Draft Notes

  • Tragically Malicious will live and die with the Chiefs this season, as the selections of Damien Williams, Carlos Hyde, and Harrison Butker give them three players from Kansas City, more than any other team in your league. League-wide, the most popular team was the Browns, as eight of them were selected in the draft.

  • Week 12 could present a difficult challenge for Tragically Malicious, as they have five players on a bye (Kyler Murray, Damien Williams, Harrison Butker, Carlos Hyde, and Justin Jackson). Your Week 12 opponent, Liam's Team, will have three players (Melvin Gordon III, David Johnson, and Minnesota) on a bye week.

  • According to projections, Tragically Malicious have a difficult road in Hiawatha Elite League this season with a strength of schedule that rates as the most difficult. That doesn't mean you're destined to lose, though. You can't control strength of schedule, but you can control your team. There are infinite ways to continue improving over the course of the season as long as you remain involved.

  • Tragically Malicious seem to be counting on veteran leadership to rein in youthful exuberance, assembling a balanced squad with an average of 5 years of NFL experience, ranking in the middle of the pack for the league. They selected two rookies (Josh Jacobs and Kyler Murray), the highest total of first-year players in the league. In total, there were 12 rookies selected over the course of the Hiawatha Elite League draft.

How We Grade

Draft grades are based strictly on teams' draft performances. This is calculated by counting the number of fantasy points teams are projected to score over the course of the season using their optimal line-ups. The grades do not take schedule into account. Because of bye weeks and other variables it is possible to earn a high grade yet be projected to finish in the middle of the pack. The opposite is also true. Bottom line: Fantasy Football is like the real game. You can draft the greatest talent in the world but you still need to manage your team every week to get the most out of that talent. As a wise man once said, "On any given Sunday..."
