N.C. HAMMERS fall short of projections, succumb to Phantoms in 181.73-111.58 rout

There's no easy way to put it, N.C. HAMMERS dropped the ball, at least according to projections, as Phantoms cruised to a 181.73-111.58 win. It didn't take long to learn who would lead the way in this one, as Phantoms nabbed a 77.38-point lead early Sunday afternoon behind standout showings from Travis Kelce and Eli Manning. Kelce caught 7 passes for 77 yards and a touchdown for 20.7 points, while Manning passed for 197 yards and 3 touchdowns (19.88 points). Lamar Miller (19.7 points) and Jeff Wilson Jr. (16.35) were the top scorers for N.C. HAMMERS in defeat. This marks the second time this season Phantoms have gotten the best of N.C. HAMMERS, after winning 143.6-126.69 in their last matchup. Phantoms will look to not lose that winning feeling in the semifinal round next week, while N.C. HAMMERS seek to bounce back and finish the season with a win in the 5th Place game.

Coach Talk

Phantoms
Nice job deploying a lineup that posted 181.73 points this past week. We consider that to be a job well done. Let's keep this momentum going as we roll into our Week 15 matchup.
N.C. HAMMERS
Our starting QB threw one interception and no touchdowns? We may should have a little debate here: Did Russell Wilson seem rattled back there in the pocket, or were the Vikings just that stout defending the pass? You'll need to decide one way or the other... N.C. HAMMERS, as you deploy your lineup for Week 15 and beyond!
