DC Dips fall short of predictions, still manage to knock off New Mexicans, 261.15-218.60
Both teams were unable to rise to the occasion, but DC Dips did enough to take down New Mexicans, emerging victorious with a 261.15-218.60 victory. New Mexicans jumped out to a 54.65-point lead on Thursday behind a outstanding showing from Philip Rivers. But DC Dips held the lead the rest of the way, powered by Derrick Henry, who ran for 170 yards and 2 touchdowns for 63.3 points, and Case Keenum, who passed for 257 yards (51.45 points). This marks the first time this season DC Dips have knocked off New Mexicans, after falling 306.85-279.15 in their last matchup. DC Dips improve to 6-9 for the season, while New Mexicans fall to 6-9.
While running for 170 yards and 2 touchdowns against the Giants, Henry scored 63.3 points this week. His scoring output more-than-doubled his 23.14-point projection and was much higher than his 22.58-point season scoring average. Henry ranks #63 among all fantasy players this season and will face the Redskins next week.
DC Dips
Listen DC Dips, we're glass-half-full kind of coaches. While others may harp on the fact that our scoring output has slipped lately, we'll choose to take the optimistic route. Averaging 241.99 points through Week 14, our crew has shown it's certainly capable of outperforming the 261.15 we needed for this past week's win!
New Mexicans
New Mexicans will find it tough to complain about lack of opportunities this past week. Our four pass-catchers (three WR and one TE) combined to get a grand total of 19 targets in Week 15. With only seven total catches, this group may have some chemistry issues.
