Despite getting the No. 4 overall pick, Cucumber Richards drafted a roster that will struggle to earn wins. Opponents may enjoy defeating them with regularity, as this team is projected to finish 11th in Hiawatha Elite League. Behind multiple Patriots in the early rounds (Tom Brady and Chris Hogan), Cucumber Richards are looking at a record of 3-10 (1,451 points).

  • Robert Woods

Biggest Steal: Cucumber Richards scored a tremendous mid-round bargain when they picked up Woods in the 9th round, about three rounds later than his ADP of 77. Following a season in which he had 56 catches for 781 yards and 5 TDs in 12 games, totaling 163 fantasy points, Woods is projected to score 138 fantasy points with the Rams. That makes him a valuable No. 2 WR for this squad.

  • Carlos Hyde

Going out on a Limb: You must have gotten distracted, right? It was an autopick. There's no other explanation for choosing Hyde in the 6th round, about three rounds earlier than his ADP of 110. Granted, perhaps you're onto something? Projected to score 122 fantasy points this season with the Browns, he looks poised to improve upon last year when he ran for 938 yards and 8 TDs and recorded 59 receptions for 350 yards, totaling 109 fantasy points. Hyde will slot in as the No. 3 RB for Cucumber Richards, based on projections.

Draft Notes

  • Cucumber Richards will live and die with the Patriots this season, as the selections of Tom Brady, Chris Hogan, and Rex Burkhead give them three New England players, more than any other team in your league. League-wide, the Packers were the most popular team, as nine of them were selected in the draft.

  • Cucumber Richards are in for a rude awakening in Week 11 when they have five players on a bye (Tom Brady, Chris Hogan, Carlos Hyde, Rex Burkhead, and Frank Gore). Zack's Team, your Week 11 opponent, won't be quite as hamstrung with only two players (Sony Michel and Matt Breida) on a bye week.

  • For the second half of the season, Cucumber Richards won't encounter too many speed bumps in Hiawatha Elite League according to projections with a late-season strength of schedule that ranks as the easiest. In spite of that, for the season as a whole, Cucumber Richards face a pretty fair path that ranks as the 8th toughest.

  • Even with an opening remaining at TE in the 6th round, Cucumber Richards selected RB Carlos Hyde at No. 69, filling the WR/RB flex position rather than a more important position. They were the third-to-last squad to make their first flex pick.

How We Grade

Draft grades are based strictly on teams' draft performances. This is calculated by counting the number of fantasy points teams are projected to score over the course of the season using their optimal line-ups. The grades do not take schedule into account. Because of bye weeks and other variables it is possible to earn a high grade yet be projected to finish in the middle of the pack. The opposite is also true. Bottom line: Fantasy Football is like the real game. You can draft the greatest talent in the world but you still need to manage your team every week to get the most out of that talent. As a wise man once said, "On any given Sunday..."
