When a bottom-half draft slot produces top-half results, that's the sign of a strong effort by the GM. Such was the case with Comeback Kid, which flipped its No. 11 overall pick into a projected 5th-place finish in Hiawatha Elite League. The team is notably talented at wide receiver, as DeAndre Hopkins and Tyreek Hill are slated to combine for the 2nd-highest point total of all starting WR groups in the league. Comeback Kid are predicted to put up a total of 1,518 points based on the current roster, which would result in a 6-7 record.

  • Robby Anderson

Best Pick: Comeback Kid scored a tremendous late-round value when they chose Anderson with the 11th pick of the 11th round, about two rounds later than his ADP of 103. Coming off a season in which he caught 63 passes for 941 yards and 7 TDs, totaling 200 fantasy points, Anderson is projected to score 130 fantasy points with the Jets. That makes him a valuable No. 3 WR for this squad.

  • Andrew Luck

Stretch Pick: You must have had an inside source when deciding to select Luck in the 7th round, about two rounds earlier than his ADP of 110. Granted, you might be onto something. Luck is projected to score 275 fantasy points this season with the Colts. But do you really need yet another QB? You can only start one per week. Luck will slot in as the No. 2 QB for Comeback Kid, based on projected points.

Draft Notes

  • Comeback Kid are in for a rude awakening in Week 9 when they have four players on a bye (Andrew Luck, Leonard Fournette, Giovani Bernard, and Eric Ebron). Perhaps leveling the playing field, your Week 9 opponent -- Jake's Nice Team -- will also be facing their worst bye week with three players (A.J. Green, Jay Ajayi, and Nelson Agholor) on the sideline.

  • Based on projected records, Comeback Kid have one of the toughest schedules in Hiawatha Elite League this season with a strength of schedule rated as the 2nd-most difficult. But don't lose hope. You can't control strength of schedule, but you can control your team. If you remain involved in trade talks and on the wire, you'll be just fine.

  • Comeback Kid must be counting on veteran leadership to rein in youthful exuberance, compiling a balanced lineup with an average of 5.2 years of NFL experience, ranking in the middle of the pack for the league. As an example of that moderation, they didn't pick any of the 13 rookies drafted.

  • Even with an opening at QB in the 6th round, Comeback Kid chose RB Mark Ingram with the 62nd pick, filling the WR/RB flex position rather than a position of higher need.

How We Grade

Draft grades are based strictly on teams' draft performances. This is calculated by counting the number of fantasy points teams are projected to score over the course of the season using their optimal line-ups. The grades do not take schedule into account. Because of bye weeks and other variables it is possible to earn a high grade yet be projected to finish in the middle of the pack. The opposite is also true. Bottom line: Fantasy Football is like the real game. You can draft the greatest talent in the world but you still need to manage your team every week to get the most out of that talent. As a wise man once said, "On any given Sunday..."
