A superb draft performance by the GM of The Minor Prophets turned the No. 7 overall pick into a projected 3rd-place finish. After picking up multiple Giants in the early rounds (Saquon Barkley and Evan Engram), The Minor Prophets are predicted to finish 11-2 (1,532 points) in Hiawatha Elite League.

  • Kenyan Drake

Biggest Steal: What a tremendous early value for The Minor Prophets, who picked up Drake in the 5th round, about 16 slots later than his ADP of 39. Following a season in which he ran for 644 yards and 3 TDs and recorded 32 receptions for 239 yards and 1 TD, totaling 126 fantasy points, Drake is projected to score 195 fantasy points with the Dolphins. That makes him a valuable No. 3 RB for this squad.

  • Philip Rivers

Stretch Pick: Are you willing to share your secrets? We'd love to know what prompted the selection of Rivers at No. 79, about two rounds earlier than his ADP of 109. Projected to score 279 fantasy points this season with the Chargers, he'll be looking to match last year when he threw for 4,515 yards and 28 TDs with 10 INTs, earning 280 fantasy points. According to projected points, Rivers will slot in as the No. 1 QB for The Minor Prophets to begin the season.

Draft Notes

  • The Minor Prophets will be all in on the Giants this season, as the selections of Saquon Barkley, Evan Engram, and Sterling Shepard give them three New York players, the most of any team in your league. League-wide, the Packers were the most popular team, as nine of them were selected in the draft.

  • Week 9 will be a rude awakening for The Minor Prophets, as they have five players on a bye (Saquon Barkley, T.Y. Hilton, Larry Fitzgerald, Evan Engram, and Sterling Shepard). This is Dre's Team, your Week 9 opponent, won't be nearly as encumbered with only one player (Marlon Mack) getting the week off.

  • The Minor Prophets won't encounter too many speed bumps in Hiawatha Elite League this season based on projections with a strength of schedule that rates as the easiest. That doesn't mean you should relax, though. Even the softest schedules can present issues for those players who aren't involved.

  • In spite of openings at QB and TE in the 5th round, The Minor Prophets selected RB Kenyan Drake at No. 55, filling the WR/RB flex position at the expense of a more important position.

How We Grade

Draft grades are based strictly on teams' draft performances. This is calculated by counting the number of fantasy points teams are projected to score over the course of the season using their optimal line-ups. The grades do not take schedule into account. Because of bye weeks and other variables it is possible to earn a high grade yet be projected to finish in the middle of the pack. The opposite is also true. Bottom line: Fantasy Football is like the real game. You can draft the greatest talent in the world but you still need to manage your team every week to get the most out of that talent. As a wise man once said, "On any given Sunday..."
