Gifted the first pick, Matt's Majestic Team had an exceptional performance. After picking up multiple Lions in the early rounds (Marvin Jones Jr. and Kerryon Johnson), Matt's Majestic Team is predicted to finish 2nd in Hiawatha Premier League with a record of 8-5 (1,534 points).

  • DeSean Jackson

Biggest Steal: Matt's Majestic Team notched a great late-round bargain with the selection of Jackson with the 12th pick in the 14th round, about three rounds later than his ADP of 128. Coming off a season in which he grabbed 50 passes for 668 yards and 3 TDs in 14 games, totaling 147 fantasy points, Jackson is projected to score 109 fantasy points with the Buccaneers. That makes him a valuable No. 4 WR for this squad.

  • Marshawn Lynch

Reach Pick: We're going to give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you got distracted right before the selection of Lynch at No. 49, about 31 picks earlier than his ADP of 80. Projected to score 162 fantasy points this season with the Raiders, he'll attempt to match last year when he rushed for 891 yards and 7 TDs and had 20 receptions for 151 yards to post 166 fantasy points. Based on projections, Lynch will slot in as the No. 4 RB for Matt's Majestic Team to begin the season.

Draft Notes

  • By well-planned strategy or good luck, Matt's Majestic Team has secured a beneficial bye week schedule. The team doesn't have more than two players on a bye in any given week.

  • Going off projected records, Matt's Majestic Team have drawn one of the least challenging schedules in Hiawatha Premier League this season with a strength of schedule that ranks as the 3rd easiest.

  • With an average of 5.6 years of NFL experience, ranking in the middle of the pack for the league, Matt's Majestic Team is counting on veteran leadership to rein in youthful exuberance. They selected three rookies (Kerryon Johnson, Sony Michel, and Calvin Ridley), the highest total in the league. In total, there were 12 rookies selected over the course of the Hiawatha Premier League draft.

  • Despite offensive openings at QB and TE in the 5th round, Matt's Majestic Team drafted RB Marshawn Lynch at No. 49, filling the WR/RB flex position at the expense of a position of higher importance.

How We Grade

Draft grades are based strictly on teams' draft performances. This is calculated by counting the number of fantasy points teams are projected to score over the course of the season using their optimal line-ups. The grades do not take schedule into account. Because of bye weeks and other variables it is possible to earn a high grade yet be projected to finish in the middle of the pack. The opposite is also true. Bottom line: Fantasy Football is like the real game. You can draft the greatest talent in the world but you still need to manage your team every week to get the most out of that talent. As a wise man once said, "On any given Sunday..."
