Fantastic Mr. Fox brush off predictions, knock off Anthropomorphic Milk, 111.58-96.26
Fantastic Mr. Fox stepped up, emerging victorious with a 111.58-96.26 win over Anthropomorphic Milk, who fell short of projections. Anthropomorphic Milk earned a 26.60-point lead on Thursday behind standout showings from Brandin Cooks, who caught 7 passes for 116 yards and a touchdown for 18.6 points, and Sam Ficken, who made 1 of his 2 FG attempts (8 points). But Fantastic Mr. Fox held the lead the rest of the way, powered by Kareem Hunt, who racked up 175 yards from scrimmage and ran for a touchdown for 23.5 points, and Tarik Cohen, who racked up 174 yards from scrimmage and caught a touchdown pass (23.4 points). Fantastic Mr. Fox improve to 1-3 on the season, while Anthropomorphic Milk fall to 3-1.
Cohen (53 Rush Yds, 121 Rec Yds, 1 Rec TD) scored 23.4 points against the Buccaneers in Week 4. His scoring output more-than-tripled his 6.11-point projection and was much higher than his 10-point season scoring average. Cohen ranks #100 among all fantasy players this season and will face the Dolphins next week.
Fantastic Mr. Fox
A big key to success in football is exploiting the mismatches. Fueled by some stellar yardage production from our ball-carriers, our team really made that happen this week. Our three backfield starters logged 291 more yards from scrimmage than the RBs of Anthropomorphic Milk (461 total yards to 170), and we wound up doubling up them at the position (62.1 points to 29).
Anthropomorphic Milk
Unless Anthropomorphic Milk wants to go full diva-mode, then "not getting enough chances" is not an excuse this week. Our pass-catching corps (two WR, one TE) collectively saw a whopping 25 targets in Week 4. Timing and chemistry seem to be issues as that group tallied just 15 receptions.
