The White Knucklers defy expectations but lose to Ready Player One, 126.8-120.9

Ready Player One fell short of projections while The White Knucklers rose to the occasion and outperformed expectations, but it wasn't enough to swing the result. Predicted to triumph by a score of 130.0-107.7, Ready Player One emerged victorious with a 126.8-120.9 victory over The White Knucklers. The White Knucklers grabbed a 4.8-point lead on Thursday, but Ready Player One held the lead the rest of the way. They were led by Todd Gurley II (35.5 points) and Aaron Rodgers (28.4). Melvin Gordon III (34 points) and Tom Brady (21.8) carried the flag for The White Knucklers in the loss. Ready Player One (3-3) will look to get another W against Gridiron Gladiators, while The White Knucklers (3-3) face I Heart Chiavettas in an effort to develop some positive momentum.

Coach Talk

Ready Player One
Well, we do appreciate the confidence this past week, Ready Player One. It takes true moxie to deploy a player with negative points (the Jacksonville Jaguars defense) while still getting the win. All we ask is to please limit that flashy, show-off type of stuff to the early regular season. Try it in the playoffs and we're toast.
The White Knucklers
Unless The White Knucklers wants to go full diva-mode, then "not seeing enough opportunities" cannot be an excuse this week. Our pass-catching corps (four WR and one TE) collectively saw a grand total of 37 targets in Week 6. With only 21 total receptions, this group may need to work on chemistry with their QBs.
