Fortress find way to beat Despots 65-52 despite falling short of predictions

Both teams failed to rise to the occasion, but Fortress did enough to knock off Despots. Predicted to triumph by a score of 84-74, Fortress secured a 65-52 victory over Despots. Despots nabbed a 13-point lead on Thursday behind impressive efforts from Tyrell Williams (7 points) and Travis Kelce (6). But Fortress held the lead the rest of the way, powered by Tom Brady (15 points) and David Johnson (15). This marks the first time this season Fortress have knocked off Despots, after falling 93-69 in their last matchup. Fortress improve to 6-9 for the season, while Despots fall to 6-9.

Coach Talk

Fortress
Hey, the key to football is taking advantage of the mismatches. Along with doubling up Despots at RB (18 points to 9), we also almost quadrupled them at QB (15 to 4).
Despots
Despots may find it tough to gripe about lack of opportunities this past week. As a group, our pass-catching corps (two WR, one TE) collectively got a grand total of 27 targets in Week 15. Timing and chemistry seem to be issues as that group managed only 16 catches.
