Cheeseheads come up short of predictions, lose to Lager Lovers in 91.1-62.3 rout
There's no easy way to put it, Cheeseheads underperformed, at least according to projections, as Lager Lovers cruised to a 91.1-62.3 win. There wasn't much drama in this matchup, as Lager Lovers leapt out to a 25.2-point lead early Sunday afternoon behind impressive performances from Aaron Rodgers and Christian McCaffrey. Rodgers passed for 196 yards and 2 touchdowns and ran for 44 yards for 22.2 points, while McCaffrey racked up 101 yards from scrimmage and ran for 2 touchdowns (22.1 points). Aaron Jones (78 Rush Yds, 1 Rush TD, 28 Rec Yds) and Davante Adams (7 Rec, 81 Rec Yds, 1 Rec TD) were the leading scorers for Cheeseheads in the loss. This marks the first time this season Lager Lovers have taken down Cheeseheads, after falling 148.8-115.95 in their last matchup. Lager Lovers will look to keep the streak alive in next week's semifinal round, while Cheeseheads seek to rebound and lock up 5th Place.
McCaffrey overachieved for the eighth time this season, scoring 22.1 points against his 17.96-point projection. During a 26-20 loss to the Browns, he racked up 101 yards from scrimmage and ran for 2 touchdowns. McCaffrey ranks #9 among all fantasy players this season and will face the Saints next week.

Creating mismatches is a huge key to success in football. Thanks to a sound outing from Aaron Rodgers, we nearly quadrupled Cheeseheads at the quarterback position this past week (22.2 points to 5.8). Rodgers went 21-for-32 for 196 yards and two TDs (plus no INTs) in a 34-20 triumph over the Falcons.

Here's a list of scenarios where it's somewhat excusable to go 0-for-2 in sports: A hitter's line in baseball, a pair of Dwight Howard free throws, and a double-fault in tennis. That's basically it. Going 0-for-2 on field goal attempts this past week? Seems like Chris Boswell may have just kicked himself back into the free agent pool after that sort of performance.
