The Gurley Men fall to Step Brothers, 129.58-110.82

There's no way around it, The Gurley Men didn't do their job, at least according to projections, as Step Brothers came out on top with a 129.58-110.82 win. The Gurley Men grabbed a 4.10-point lead on Thursday, but Step Brothers held the lead the rest of the way. They were led by George Kittle (34 points) and Deshaun Watson (20.18). Tom Brady (358 Pass Yds, 3 Pass TDs) and Michael Badgley (4-4 FG, 59 long, 2-2 XP) did everything they could for The Gurley Men in the loss. This marks the second time this season Step Brothers have knocked off The Gurley Men, after winning 144.6-133.02 in their last matchup. Step Brothers will look to keep it rolling in the semifinal round next week, while The Gurley Men attempt to rebound and finish the season with a win in the 5th Place game.

Coach Talk

Step Brothers
Listen Step Brothers, I'm a "glass half full" kind of coach. While others may harp on the fact that our scoring output has declined a bit recently, I'll choose to take the high road. Averaging 137.16 points through Week 13, our crew has definitely proven that it's even better than the 129.58 we needed to win this past week!
The Gurley Men
Unless The Gurley Men wants to go diva-mode on us, then "not seeing enough looks" won't cut it as an excuse this week. As a group, our five pass-catchers (four WR and one TE) combined to receive a healthy 35 targets in Week 14. Those players should try to get some extra practice reps in with their QBs, considering they pulled down just 20 receptions.
