Despite top scorer Carson, British Bulldogs fall to Warlocks in 313.36-310.02 battle

Chris Carson had 47.8 points for British Bulldogs, the best total in the matchup and sixth-best in the league this week, but it wasn't enough to overcome Warlocks, who narrowly earned a 313.36-310.02 win. British Bulldogs made a run at it on Monday night, but it wasn't to be. Warlocks led 309.46-299.02 after Sunday's action and held on for the win despite 11 points from Marcus Williams on Monday night for British Bulldogs. Jaylon Smith (11 Tackles) and Damien Williams (49 Rush Yds, 2 Rush TDs, 74 Rec Yds) won the week for Warlocks in the win. This marks the second time this season Warlocks have beaten British Bulldogs, after falling 266.6-261.8 in their last matchup. Warlocks will look to clinch the league title next week, while British Bulldogs seek to rebound and finish the season with a win in the 3rd Place game.

Coach Talk

Warlocks
We're curious if the GM of Warlocks was sweating bullets in this one? In a matchup that was ultimately decided by only 3.34 points, Brett Maher (0-of-1 on the day) thought that going 1-for-1 on field goals would've been just a bit too dull. Remember folks, every point matters!
British Bulldogs
Missing a field goal generally isn't cause for concern. But come on now, talk about impeccable timing: Jake Elliott went 3-for-4 on FGs instead of 4-for-4, and British Bulldogs lost the matchup by 3.34 points. We'll let you do the math on that one.
