Broadway Ed find way to beat Stewies Pigskinners 72-55

Both teams failed to rise to the occasion, but Broadway Ed did enough to get the best of Stewies Pigskinners, securing a 72-55 win. Broadway Ed grabbed a 21-point lead early Sunday afternoon behind stellar showings from T.Y. Hilton (22 points) and Cameron Brate (2 Rec, 12 Rec Yds, 2 Rec TDs) and never looked back. Philip Rivers (14 points) and the New Orleans Saints defense (10) led the charge for Stewies Pigskinners in the loss. This marks the second time this season Broadway Ed have taken down Stewies Pigskinners, after falling 89-76 in their last matchup. Broadway Ed will look to keep winning in the semifinal round next week, while Stewies Pigskinners attempt to bounce back and finish the season with a win.

Coach Talk

Broadway Ed
You know Broadway Ed, I'm a "glass half full" kind of coach. While others may harp on the fact that our scoring's slipped lately, I'll choose to take the optimistic route. Averaging 98.54 points through Week 13, our crew has definitely proven that it's even better than the 72 we needed for this past week's win!
Stewies Pigskinners
Unless Stewies Pigskinners wants to go diva-mode on us, then "not getting many chances" doesn't fly as an excuse this week. As a group, our pass-catching corps (two WR and one TE) collectively got a grand total of 15 targets in Week 14. With just nine total catches, that group may be showing signs of chemistry issues.
