Offensively challenged Rebels defeat RGK Lily, 65-57

While they ranked only seventh in the league in points scored for the week, Rebels came out on top with a 65-57 victory over RGK Lily. RGK Lily earned a 8-point lead on Thursday, but Rebels held the lead the rest of the way. They were led by Odell Beckham Jr., who passed for 49 yards , had 35 receiving yards and scored 2 touchdowns for 19 points, and Kenyan Drake, who racked up 44 yards from scrimmage and caught a touchdown pass (10 points). The New York Jets defense (26 Pts Allowed, 403 Yds Allowed, 1 Turnovers) and Drew Brees (127 Pass Yds, 1 Pass TD) led the way for RGK Lily in the loss. This marks the first time this season Rebels have beaten RGK Lily, after falling 123-87 in their last matchup. Football is all about exploiting the mismatches. Fueled by stellar production from our receiving corps, our team really took that to heart this past week. We doubled up RGK Lily at wide receiver (20 points to 9). Odell Beckham Jr. had 35 receiving yards while Julio Jones logged 18 yards.

Unless RGK Lily wants to go full diva-mode, then "not seeing enough looks" can't be an excuse this time around. As a group, our trio of pass-catchers (two WR, one TE) collectively saw a hearty 20 targets in Week 13. With only 11 total receptions, that group may need to work on chemistry with their QBs.
