Clever Pun were unable to rise to the occasion, coming up short of their projected point total, as Captain Kirk earned a 88.38-69.88 win. Captain Kirk grabbed an early 0.30-point lead on Thursday. Clever Pun came back to take the lead during the early games on Sunday, powered by Patrick Mahomes (24.78 points) and Davante Adams (14.1). Not to be deterred, Captain Kirk made a run later that afternoon, as Michael Badgley (17 points) and Jaylen Samuels (9.2) put them back ahead for good. This marks the first time this season Captain Kirk have gotten the best of Clever Pun, after falling 102.46-75.24 in their last matchup. Captain Kirk ends the season on a high note, but they'll miss the postseason with a record of 6-8. Clever Pun will also be home for the playoffs, finishing at 8-6.
