Huskies come back to top Tds and Beer for fifth straight win in 142.40-105.66 rout
Huskies extended their win streak to five games with a convincing victory over Tds and Beer, cruising to a 142.40-105.66 win. Tds and Beer nabbed a 43.86-point lead early Sunday afternoon behind impressive showings from David Johnson (44.3 points) and Patrick Mahomes (24.06). But it was all Huskies after that. They were led by Ezekiel Elliott (151 Rush Yds, 1 Rush TD, 36 Rec Yds, 1 Rec TD) and Brandin Cooks (10 Rec, 100 Rec Yds). This marks the first time this season Huskies have taken down Tds and Beer, after falling 173.36-98.04 in their last matchup. Huskies improve to 7-3 on the season, while Tds and Beer fall to 7-3.
Against the Eagles in Week 10, Elliott racked up 187 yards from scrimmage and scored 2 touchdowns. In doing so, he put up 47.7 points and more-than-doubled his scoring projection, the second-highest percent increase of any RB in the league this season. Elliott will battle the Falcons next week.
Huskies
Hey, creating mismatches is the key to football, right? Thanks to stellar showings by Brandin Cooks and T.Y. Hilton, our squad really took that to heart this past week. We doubled up Tds and Beer at wide receiver (43.6 points to 20.2). Cooks had 100 receiving yards while Hilton chipped in with 77 yards.
Tds and Beer
Unless Tds and Beer wants to go diva-mode on us, then "not seeing enough opportunities" won't cut it as an excuse this week. As a group, our pass-catching corps (two WR, one TE) collectively got a healthy 20 targets in Week 10. With only eight total catches, this group may have some chemistry issues.
