Doo Doo Browns fall short of expectations, succumb to Barely Legal, 96.15-80.45

There's no sugarcoating it, Doo Doo Browns dropped the ball, at least according to projections, as Barely Legal secured a 96.15-80.45 win. Barely Legal nabbed a 23.85-point lead on Thursday behind a combined 23.85 points from Cam Newton (193 Pass Yds, 2 Pass TDs, 10 Rush Yds) and Devin Funchess (3 Rec, 32 Rec Yds). Doo Doo Browns came back to take the lead early Sunday, powered by Andrew Luck (30.05 points) and Michael Thomas (19). Not to be deterred, Barely Legal rallied later that night, as the Philadelphia Eagles defense (8 points) put them back in the lead for good. Barely Legal (2-8) will look to notch another W against Tommy P, while Doo Doo Browns (5-5) will attempt to get back on track against Simmons.

Coach Talk

Barely Legal
Identifying mismatches is a huge component to winning in football. Thanks to stout performances by Mark Ingram and Duke Johnson Jr., our crew certainly made that a point of emphasis this past week. We thoroughly outscored Doo Doo Browns at running back (32.8 points to 13). Ingram had 162 total yards and a TD, while Johnson Jr. logged 46 yards.

Look, I've been in this business long enough to realize that sometimes free points just seem to magically appear out of nowhere. Then sometimes, like in your matchup this week, they don't! Well, okay... maybe asking for an additional 16 points is a little excessive. Keep your head up, Doo Doo Browns!
