Trut Miners come up short of predictions, lose to Rebellion in 99.52-65.98 rout

There's no sugarcoating it, Trut Miners dropped the ball, at least compared to projections, as Rebellion cruised to a 99.52-65.98 victory. Rebellion took an early 15.02-point lead on Thursday. Trut Miners came back to take the lead during the early games on Sunday, powered by Julio Jones (14.2 points) and Saquon Barkley (5.6). Not to be deterred, Rebellion pulled it together later that afternoon, as Jaylen Samuels (17.2 points) and Tyler Lockett (5.6) put them back in the lead for good. This marks the first time this season Rebellion have beaten Trut Miners, after falling 122.5-101.7 in their last matchup. Rebellion will look to clinch the championship next week, while Trut Miners seek to bounce back and finish the season with a win in the 3rd Place game.

Coach Talk

Rebellion
Listen Rebellion, the good news is that we took this matchup by a staggering 33.54 points. The better news is that we've proven we're even stronger than this... in fact, our team's scoring average through Week 14 stood at 104.54. So yes, we're happy to have earned this victory, but let's also get back up to where we know we can be!
Trut Miners
Unless Trut Miners wants to go full diva-mode, then "not seeing many looks" doesn't fly as an excuse this week. As a group, our pass-catching corps (three WR and one TE) were targeted a grand total of 30 times in Week 15. With only 16 total receptions, that group may need to work on chemistry with their QBs.
