Offensively challenged Splintered come back to top What?!, 83.75-68.00
While they ranked only seventh in the league in points scored for the week, Splintered rallied to earn a 83.75-68.00 win over What?!. Despite trailing 68.00-55.00 heading into Monday night, Splintered came storming back behind Deshaun Watson, who passed for 210 yards , ran for 70 yards and scored 3 touchdowns for 28.75 points. Drew Brees (171 Pass Yds, 4 Pass TDs) and the Minnesota Vikings defense (17 Pts Allowed, 254 Yds Allowed, 1 Turnovers) were the leaders for What?! in defeat. This marks the first time this season Splintered have taken down What?!, after falling 121.25-113.75 in their last matchup. Splintered improve to 2-10 on the season, while What?! fall to 4-8.
While passing for 210 yards , running for 70 yards and scoring 3 touchdowns against the Titans, Watson recorded 28.75 points this week. His scoring output was 53.3% more than his 18.76-point projection and was much higher than his 17.06-point season scoring average. Watson ranks #14 among all fantasy players this season and will face the Browns next week.
Thursday
Drew Brees had a 28-yard touchdown pass and a 25-yard touchdown pass for What?!, helping give What?! a 19.25-15.00 lead.
Sunday Early
There were players with highlight-reel moments on both teams early Sunday, but after all was said and done, What?! boasted a 50.25-42.00 lead. For Splintered, Tyler Lockett had a 43-yard catch. Rob Gronkowski made the highlight reel for What?! with a 34-yard touchdown catch.
Splintered
Listen, Splintered, we do certainly respect the confidence. Playing not one, not two, but THREE starters with zero points (Jakeem Grant, Rashaad Penny, and Pharoh Cooper), while still earning the W... that's borderline cocky. Try those shenanigans next week and see what happens!
What?!
Unless What?! wants to go full diva-mode, then "not getting enough opportunities" isn't really a viable excuse this time around. Our four pass-catchers (three WR and one TE) were targeted a grand total of 29 times in Week 12. With only 17 total catches, that group may be showing signs of chemistry issues.
