When a bottom-half draft slot yields top-half results, that's the sign of a strong effort by the GM. Such was the case with The Farce Awakens, which flipped its eighth overall pick into a projected fifth-place finish in Hiawatha Elite League (7-6-0, 1,387 points). After exiting the draft with six RBs on the roster, The Farce Awakens is set at that position heading into the season. Their RBs are projected to average 125 points this season, right around the league average of 129. They put together the best group of RBs in the league, as they have C.J. Anderson, Arian Foster, Jonathan Stewart, and Shane Vereen on their team.

While Week 9 has the most players on bye for The Farce Awakens (six), Week 7 is actually projected to have the team's highest number of idle fantasy points. Based on their opponents' projected points, they have the weakest schedule. Along with having the easiest overall schedule, The Farce Awakens also has the second-softest last four games of the season.

Draft Notes

  • On Autopilot

Picking starting RBs should be an effortless exercise most weeks for The Farce Awakens, as there's a healthy projected point difference between their third-ranked (Jonathan Stewart) and fourth-ranked (Shane Vereen) RBs.

  • Choosing which WRs to start should be pretty obvious most weeks for The Farce Awakens, as projections show a healthy point difference between their third-ranked (Larry Fitzgerald) and fourth-ranked (Cody Latimer) wideouts.

  • Highlight Reel

The Farce Awakens is loaded at TE, but QB isn't too shabby, either.

  • Great Idea, Poor Execution

The Farce Awakens will need a hand from the waiver wire in Week 7, as their only K (Brandon McManus) and only DEF (Chicago) will both be on bye that week.

  • Nearly There

The top half of the The Farce Awakens roster is one of the strongest in the league (ranked No. 2). However, the bottom of the roster is among the weakest (ranked No. 11).

  • My One and Only

Ignoring roster depth, The Farce Awakens chose only one player at four different positions (QB, TE, DEF, and K).

Player Analysis

    • C.J. Anderson, RB
    • Round 1, Pick 8
    Anderson is Hungry

And he'll get plenty of chances to feast this season, projected to rank fourth in the NFL with 312 touches.

    • Randall Cobb, WR
    • Round 2, Pick 17
    The Alchemist

The Farce Awakens chose the WR most likely to turn deep balls into TD gold. Randall Cobb is projected to lead all NFL WRs in plays over 40 yards with 5.7 and TDs over 40 yards with 2.2.

    • J. Stewart, RB
    • Round 4, Pick 41
    Taking a Chance

With their fourth-round pick, The Farce Awakens threw caution to the wind. They took Jonathan Stewart at pick number 41 despite an ADP of 78.2 across all Yahoo! leagues.

    • Travis Kelce, TE
    • Round 5, Pick 56
    All Over the Field

Travis Kelce is projected to rank among the top-5 for TEs in both receiving TDs (fourth with 5.8) and receiving yards (third with 829).

    • Arian Foster, RB
    • Round 6, Pick 65
Was the 65th Pick the Right Time for Arian Foster?

The Farce Awakens apparently believes it is. The Texans' running back is projected to notch 192 points this year, after producing 234 last year.

Best Available

While The Farce Awakens is expected to be weak across four positions, DEF is definitely their worst unit and an area of need.

    • Arizona Defense
    • Rank 193, ADP 87
    • Kansas City Defense
    • Rank 209, ADP 126
    • San Francisco Defense
    • Rank 215, ADP 140
    • Indianapolis Defense
    • Rank 222, ADP 143

How We Grade

Draft grades are based strictly on teams' draft performances. This is calculated by counting the number of fantasy points teams are projected to score over the course of the season using their optimal line-ups. The grades do not take schedule into account. Because of bye weeks and other variables it is possible to earn a high grade yet be projected to finish in the middle of the pack. The opposite is also true. Bottom line: Fantasy Football is like the real game. You can draft the greatest talent in the world but you still need to manage your team every week to get the most out of that talent. As a wise man once said, "On any given Sunday..."
