The fourth season of the Mason-Dixon League is now in the books. Here’s a final accounting:Our normal pot of $240 ($20 x twelve teams) was only $180, since three teams failed to pay and have not responded to my e-mails. So I’ve split up the $180 (which is 25% short of normal) according to our standard division of winnings: 1st Place (50%) to RumbleBullies (yours truly), who got $90; 2nd Place (25%) plus Reg Season Points Leader (15%) was Dazed & Confused (Jon Keith), who got 40%, or $72; and 3rd Place (10%) goes to Jackie Smith’s Ghost, who will receive $18. When (or if) the non-payees finally pony up, I will pay off the remaining funds in order of finish (and not because it’s in my interest to do so—it just seems easier and more fair, though if anyone objects, let me know).
At the beginning of the season, we approved a motion (8 in favor, 4 abstaining) to always hold our annual draft on the Monday night of Labor Day. That means the 2015 draft will be on the evening of September 7th, so mark your calendars.
