While this draft by Fantasy FB Weekly didn't exactly set the world on fire, it didn't destroy their playoff aspirations either. They are expected to be in the mix for a playoff spot with a projected ninth-place finish in MIC WARS League at 5-8-0 (1,597 points). They clearly wanted to put together a wide receiver corps early, using three of their first five selections on Antonio Brown (second round), Roddy White (fourth round), and Jeremy Maclin (fifth round). They landed one of the lowest-scoring pairs of TEs in the league, as they added Charles Clay and Scott Chandler.

Fantasy FB Weekly should do pretty much anything other than watch football during Week 9. They have five players and the most projected fantasy points on bye that week. Looking at the season as a whole, they have a more-challenging-than-average slate. Corresponding with the sixth-most grueling overall schedule, Fantasy FB Weekly also has the second-toughest first four games of the season.

Draft Notes

  • On Autopilot

Picking starting RBs should be an effortless exercise most weeks for Fantasy FB Weekly, as there's a healthy projected point difference between their third-ranked (Trent Richardson) and fourth-ranked (Bishop Sankey) RBs.

  • You Snooze, You Lose

While the rest of the league slept on John Brown, Fantasy FB Weekly pounced on him at pick No. 182.

  • A Stretch of the Imagination

Grabbing John Brown at pick 182 was, let's say, conceptually adventurous. Brown is owned on just a handful of rosters across all Yahoo! leagues.

Player Analysis

    • Montee Ball, RB
    • Round 1, Pick 14
Does Montee Ball Enjoy Gourmet Cuisine?

Because his projected yardage figures are tasty. Ball is ranked 10th in the league with 1,494 all-purpose yards.

    • Antonio Brown, WR
    • Round 2, Pick 15
268 More Reasons to Appreciate Antonio Brown

Brown ranks sixth in the MIC WARS League among WRs with 268 projected fantasy points.

    • Bishop Sankey, RB
    • Round 3, Pick 42
    Taking a Chance

With their third-round pick, Fantasy FB Weekly threw caution to the wind. They took Bishop Sankey at pick number 42 despite an ADP of 76.3 across all Yahoo! leagues.

    • T. Richardson, RB
    • Round 6, Pick 71
Was the 71st Pick the Right Time for Trent Richardson?

Fantasy FB Weekly apparently believes it is. The Colts' running back is projected to earn 174 points this year, after putting up 145 last year.

    • Tom Brady, QB
    • Round 7, Pick 98
    Biggest Steal

Fantasy FB Weekly may have found a gem in the seventh round, grabbing Tom Brady (98th overall pick vs. ADP of 77.6).

How We Grade

Draft grades are based strictly on teams' draft performances. This is calculated by counting the number of fantasy points teams are projected to score over the course of the season using their optimal line-ups. The grades do not take schedule into account. Because of bye weeks and other variables it is possible to earn a high grade yet be projected to finish in the middle of the pack. The opposite is also true. Bottom line: Fantasy Football is like the real game. You can draft the greatest talent in the world but you still need to manage your team every week to get the most out of that talent. As a wise man once said, "On any given Sunday..."
