Watch out. Somebody let @FantasyNomad loose in the draft room. When the smoke cleared, all that was left was an elite squad capable of destroying opponents at will. They are projected to finish second in MIC WARS League with a record of 9-4-0 (1,653 points). They jumped on ball carriers early and often, using their first three selections to grab RBs Matt Forte (3rd overall), Arian Foster (26th), and Rashad Jennings (31st). If these players can play up to expectations, @FantasyNomad can have some success. They are the most prolific group of RBs in the league.
Week 10 might require some waiver-wire magic from @FantasyNomad, as their top two projected scorers (Matthew Stafford and Matt Forte) will be relaxing at home that week. Looking at the season as a whole, they have a tougher-than-average schedule. Along with the fifth-most grueling overall schedule, both the first four games and last four games of the season are about league-average difficulty for @FantasyNomad.
Draft Notes
-
Highlight Reel
@FantasyNomad is stacked at RB, but DEF isn't too shabby, either.
-
The Sky's the Limit
With five players projected to significantly beat their previous year's fantasy points, @FantasyNomad hopes to have found some up-and-coming stars.
-
Root, Root, Root for the Home Team
@FantasyNomad is a believer in the hopes of the New York Giants this year, grabbing a pair of players on that squad earlier than their ADPs might suggest.
-
A Dominating Duo
@FantasyNomad has a pair of fantasy MVPs in their lineup. Last season, two of their players (Matt Forte and Matthew Stafford) finished among the top-20 players that were on the most first-place fantasy teams.
-
The Heist Is On
The other league managers passed over a diamond in the rough. According to ADP, @FantasyNomad got a steal in snatching Dennis Pitta in the ninth round (115th overall pick vs. ADP of 89.3).
-
A Stretch of the Imagination
Grabbing Malcom Floyd at pick 171 was, let's say, conceptually adventurous. Floyd is owned on just a handful of teams across all Yahoo! leagues.
Player Analysis
-
- Matt Forte, RB
- Round 1, Pick 3
Does Matt Forte Enjoy Gourmet Cuisine?Because his projected yardage figures are tasty. Forte is ranked fourth in the league with 1,698 all-purpose yards.
-
- Arian Foster, RB
- Round 2, Pick 26
Haters Gonna HateThe rest of MIC WARS League overlooked a gem, and @FantasyNomad made the swaggiest pick of the round by grabbing Arian Foster.
-
- R. Jennings, RB
- Round 3, Pick 31
Yeah, But He Totally Retweeted Me Once!Although he was taken 31st overall in the fantasy draft, Rashad Jennings is not projected among the NFL's top-20 in rushing TDs (22nd with 5.8) or rushing yards (21st with 870).
-
- M. Stafford, QB
- Round 5, Pick 59
Like a Prancing UnicornMatthew Stafford is a fantasy dream. He's projected to finish third in the NFL in both passing TDs (31.5) and passing yards (4,955).
-
- Riley Cooper, WR
- Round 6, Pick 82
Throwing Caution to the WindThey grabbed Riley Cooper with the 82nd pick, even though his ADP is only 116.6 across all Yahoo! leagues.

How We Grade
Draft grades are based strictly on teams' draft performances. This is calculated by counting the number of fantasy points teams are projected to score over the course of the season using their optimal line-ups. The grades do not take schedule into account. Because of bye weeks and other variables it is possible to earn a high grade yet be projected to finish in the middle of the pack. The opposite is also true. Bottom line: Fantasy Football is like the real game. You can draft the greatest talent in the world but you still need to manage your team every week to get the most out of that talent. As a wise man once said, "On any given Sunday..."
