Although they got stuck with the 12th overall selection, eXpertLeagues Dean was unfazed, building a roster capable of dominating any team in MIC WARS. They're projected to finish with a record of 9-4-0 (1,640 points), placing them third. If they have a bad season, it won't be due to a lack of wide receivers, as they used three of their first five selections to pick up WRs Andre Johnson (third round), Michael Floyd (fourth round), and Kendall Wright (fifth round). A lot will be expected of this group, as they are one of the best groups of WRs in the league.

While Week 10 has the most players on bye for eXpertLeagues Dean (four), Week 4 is actually projected to have the team's highest amount of idle fantasy points. Looking at the entire season, they have one of the softest slates. eXpertLeagues Dean has the opportunity to exit the gates quickly, as the first four games of their season are projected to be less difficult than the league average.

Draft Notes

  • Asset Management

eXpertLeagues Dean is loaded at WR and DEF. Could they be willing to leverage some of that talent and listen to trade offers from other teams in MIC WARS League?

  • QB Controversy?

The coach of eXpertLeagues Dean might need to flip a coin. Their top-drafted QB (Russell Wilson) and second-drafted QB (Ryan Tannehill) have very similar seasonal point projections.

  • Close to the Vest

eXpertLeagues Dean was focused on a squad with minimal risk, grabbing nine "low-risk" players out of 16 picks.

  • Great Idea, Poor Execution

eXpertLeagues Dean will need a hand from the waiver wire in Week 10, as their only K (Nick Novak) and only DEF (New England) will both be on bye that week.

  • My One and Only

Ignoring roster depth, eXpertLeagues Dean chose only one player at three different positions (TE, DEF, and K).

  • You Snooze, You Lose

While the rest of the league slept on Lorenzo Taliaferro, eXpertLeagues Dean pounced on him at pick No. 208.

Player Analysis

    • DeMarco Murray, RB
    • Round 1, Pick 12
Feel the Rhythm, Feel the Rhyme

Get on up, it's DeMarco Murray time! He's predicted to run cool this season with 256 projected points.

    • G. Bernard, RB
    • Round 2, Pick 17
    Old Fashioned

eXpertLeagues Dean stuck to the tried-and-true fantasy strategy of going RB-RB to start the draft, taking DeMarco Murray and Giovani Bernard before targeting other positions.

    • Andre Johnson, WR
    • Round 3, Pick 40
Possession is Nine Tenths of the Law

Andre Johnson is expected to be a strong possession receiver this year, and his 87 projected catches rank eighth in the league.

    • Kendall Wright, WR
    • Round 5, Pick 68
    Stolen In Broad Daylight

Kendall Wright was the best value pick of the round and could be the cause of many sleepless nights for the other managers.

    • Mike Wallace, WR
    • Round 6, Pick 73
Was Mike Wallace the Best Choice at a Pick at No. 73?

eXpertLeagues Dean apparently thinks so. The Dolphins' wideout is projected to earn 220 points this year, after putting up 199 last year.

Best Available

While eXpertLeagues Dean is expected to be weak across three positions, RB is definitely their weakest unit and an area of need.

    • BenJarvus Green-Ellis
    • Rank 192, ADP 117

How We Grade

Draft grades are based strictly on teams' draft performances. This is calculated by counting the number of fantasy points teams are projected to score over the course of the season using their optimal line-ups. The grades do not take schedule into account. Because of bye weeks and other variables it is possible to earn a high grade yet be projected to finish in the middle of the pack. The opposite is also true. Bottom line: Fantasy Football is like the real game. You can draft the greatest talent in the world but you still need to manage your team every week to get the most out of that talent. As a wise man once said, "On any given Sunday..."
