    Week 1 $55 (top WR) - Tom - Paid
Week 2 $55 (top TE) - Rick…Matt said Ty was going to pay you directly his $55 still due for the buy in. Did this happen??? Let me know if not.
Week 3 $55 (top RB) - Ty - See above, buy in reduced to $55.
Week 13 $55 (top QB) - Kurt - Not paid

Regular season champ $55 - Kurt - Not paid

    Playoffs:

And remember that the draft order is set for next year as well. The regular season finish for the championship bracket will determine the reverse draft order and then the consolation bracket results will determine the draft order for the teams that missed out on the playoffs. I'll get the keepers out sometime this off season.

  • Update...

    Greetings Everyone,

Let me apologize for the delay and the lack of communication for the league. Between work and then weddings and a recent road trip taking up my weekends, I've been a bit pre-occupied.

We're a quarter of the way through the NFL season and about a third through the regular fantasy season already. Kurt is in first place and undefeated. This has to be a first for you Kurt, so if you need guidance on how to handle having a winning record, just reach out to me.

We're also through the first three weeks of weekly prizes:
Week 1 - Tom with Calvin Johnson. Thanks for sending me your updated address…check is on the way!
Week 2 - Rick with Jimmy Graham. I have your address at 17941 NW Evergreen Unit 203…this still correct?
Week 3 - Ty with Marshawn Lynch. Since you haven't paid yet, you still owe me, but now it's less at $55! And I don't have an address in my spreadsheet for you. Mind shooting me a check for the remaining buy-in?

With NFL bye weeks starting, we don't have any more weekly prizes until Week 13 for top QB.

I'm happy to start seeing trades, even if you won't accept any of my more than fair low ball offers. Thanks for making it a fun league as usual. Let me know if you have any comments, additions, or concerns.

    Thanks Guys,

    Commish Joey

  • WEEK 2 TOP TE $$ REMINDER

What a weird season so far with the Ray Rice and now the AP news. Sure makes Josh Gordon look a little more like a boy scout with just some controlled substance issues!

Tom won week 1's prize with a monster week from Calvin Johnson. If you guys don't mind, I might group these out after week 3 to get your money out. In the mean time, please shoot me a text or reply email with your current address. Not sure if my records are current.

This week's prize goes to the top scoring TE.

If you haven't paid yet, please send in your check ASAP.

On a side note to Matt…I don't plan on paying him, but I picked up Asiata just to block you. But I'll trade the starting Viking's RB to you for some deactivated 4th stringer :)

  • WEEK 1 TOP WR $$ REMINDER

I know this is a little late, but it was also included in the "by-laws" email before the season. Reminder…there is a $55 weekly prize for week 1 for the top scoring WR. This has to be someone started in your 2 WR starting spots and not in the flex. Good luck!

  • Chapter 3 - Set Up
We'll be keeping the same 3 divisions with 4 teams in each division. The new teams will take the places of the teams vacated by previous owners. I'll get the schedule straight once everyone signs up. You will play each team in your division twice. Division match ups take place in weeks 1-3 and 11-13. You'll play all but one of the other teams outside of your division once. This will be as random as I can make it.

Like last year, the "championship" playoffs will feature 6 teams and take place in weeks 14-16. The top two seeds will get a bye in the first week (week 14). The 3rd seed will play the 6th seed and so on. The division champs will get the highest seeds with the rest being seeded based on standings and then point totals as the tie breaker.

The "consolation" playoffs will feature the bottom 6 teams from the regular season. We'll continue the change from last year where the winner of the consolation playoffs will earn the top draft pick in the following year's draft. See below for draft information.

    Chapter 4 - Settings
Roster setup is the same as last year. Please check out the settings from the link off the front page. You will start a QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 TE, 1 K, 1 team DE, and 1 flex RB/WR/TE. You will get 8 reserves and one IR spot. The player must be on the NFL IR list to place your player in this spot. Scoring is pretty standard, with some minor tweaks. The biggest thing to remember is that this is a PPR league.

    Chapter 5 - Draft
We'll be doing the draft OFF line and in person this year again. We're tentatively looking at Saturday August 23rd. Please look at your schedules and see if this will work. Weekends are pretty limited this time of year and we already have a couple of managers who stated that Labor Day weekend will not work.

We're looking at meeting up at Matt & Karla Olney's house who have been gracious enough to volunteer to host again. Thanks to Matt & Karla for hosting the shindig. I'll post the address closer to the draft. We'd love to have everyone live, but if it's not possible, we can Skype people in as well.

This year's draft order will be based on last year's regular season finish for those teams that made the championship bracket. For those in the consolation bracket, the order will be based on the finishing order of the consolation playoffs. The order is as follows:

    2014 Draft Order
    1 Nick
    2 Tom
    3 Matt
    4 Brendan
    5 Ty
    6 Kurt
    7 Saruni
    8 Rick
    9 Quin
    10 Brandon & Gregg
    11 Pat
    12 Joey

    Chapter 6 - Free Agency/Pick Ups
This league runs by the FAAB. This means that once a player is dropped from a team, that player goes on "waivers." Each manager then has a chance to bid on this player. The manager with the highest bid wins that player. Each manager gets a budget of $100 for the entire season. If you win a player through FAAB, the winning bid will be deducted from your budget. The bids are finalized on Tuesday nights and the player will be on the winning manager's roster the next Wednesday. If a player passes waivers without getting picked up, he becomes a free agency and can be picked up by the first manager who acts on him. This costs nothing from your FAAB budget. One item of note regarding my fuck up from last year...players will only lock up from being picked up from the start of their individual game in the given week as opposed to the start of any teams' games.

    Chapter 7- Philosophy
As I said before, I have a vision to keep this league as a continuous 12 team keeper league. We really want managers who want to return year after year. I think we have a great group who truly enjoy it and manage their teams accordingly. As always, if you would like to see a change to any of the rules, settings, etc., please let me know. At the very least, we can put it to a league vote. I want you to be happy playing here...shit you're paying for it! Be thinking of any ideas you'd like to put to vote.

Please let me know if you'd like to see any changes and/or if the time for the draft works for you. My number is 503-791-6125 if you need any information.

If you know any team owner has changed contact or emails, please forward to their attention.

  • Greetings everyone!
Fantasy season is almost upon us and I thought I'd throw out a welcome email. Not much has changed from last year in terms of the set up. See below for more detail. I've sent this to all managers from last year. Please let me know ASAP if you don't plan on playing. I'll also ask you to reach out to the other managers just in case these email addresses are outdated. It would be great to have the same guys every year. As I've said before, we really want long term owners in here to make it a good keeper league. If we do end up losing anyone, first dibs would go to Brandon and/or Gregg who have co-managed a team for the last couple of years.

Chapter 1 - Buy in and pay outs...
The buy in will be $110 this year. My contacts and address for payment are:
    Joey Greenberg
    881 NE Caden Ave
    Hillsboro OR 97124
    Ph: 503-791-6125
    Email: greenberg32@yahoo.com

Please send this in as soon as you can or pay at the draft. Just don't make me start stressing about having to lock teams out. This has never been a problem in the past so the following is a bit of an empty threat. I've adjusted the deadline for full payment to Wed, Sept 17, right before the 3rd week of games. That is money or check in hand by this time or I will be forced to lock teams out who haven't paid. You'll find a link called "dues" from the front page to see who's paid and what amounts. When you send your check or if you pay by cash in person, please provide me your email and residential address so I know where to send the future winnings. For most of you, I already have this, but please confirm numbers/addresses haven't changed.

There will again be weekly payouts for specific high scores in non-NFL bye weeks. This year however we only have 4 non bye weeks, not including playoff weeks. So I'm making some adjustments to the payouts. The weekly prizes will be worth $55 and will be paid for the following below. To win for the individual positions, you must start the player of choice in one of their starting spots and not in the flex position (RB, WR, TE).

    - Week 1: Highest individual total WR
    - Week 2: Highest individual total starting TE
    - Week 3: Highest individual total starting RB
    - Week 13: Highest individual total starting QB

There will also be a $55 bonus for the team that finishes first in the regular season (1st overall seed in the playoffs). The payouts are then as follows: From the playoffs, 1st place receives $550, 2nd place $330 and 3rd place $165.

    Chapter 2 - Keepers
We will be keeping keepers again this year. You can keep up to two players from the final roster from last year. Any new owners will be taking over the team vacated. For the players you do choose to keep, you will lose the draft pick this year correlating to where they were picked last year. For example, say I had drafted Marshawn Lynch in the first round last year. If I keep him, I will lose this year's first round pick. If you are keeping a player acquired in a trade, you will still lose the draft pick from where that player was taken. If you keep a player that was acquired from free agency (or from a trade where a player was picked up in free agency), then you lose a default 8th round pick. The thought here is to reward a good prior year draft, where maybe a "flyer" was taken in later rounds, and sticking with a player as opposed to picking up a player already playing well through free agency. This also rewards owners taking risks on rookies. You still get a pretty good bonus by only giving up an 8th round pick.

The on-going rule however is that if you keep the same player for 2 consecutive years, that player will cost you a first round pick in the 2nd year kept (3rd year of ownership and beyond). The same goes for a player acquired in a trade where this player has been a keeper for more than one year.

If we run into a situation where two draft picks are lost for the same round, one draft pick will be lost to the next round thereafter. I've attached a spreadsheet showing everyone's last year final roster and the draft pick you would lose for each player kept. This is also posted below if you don't have Excel. Again, you can keep up to two, but you don't have to keep anyone. If no players are kept, you get to pick in every round.

Any questions on this, feel free to call, reply, or text. For those who may not have Excel, I've pasted the teams below. Please also check my work and let me know if I screwed up tracking your players. A few players were traded like 8 times, making it difficult to see where they were drafted or picked up. There is no deadline for naming your keepers. We will announce this at the draft, blindly, before the first round.

    Chapter 3 - Set Up
We'll be keeping the same 3 divisions with 4 teams in each division. The new teams will take the places of the teams vacated by previous owners. I'll get the schedule straight once everyone signs up. You will play each team in your division twic
