Happy New Year and Happy Real NFL Playoffs,
Well I'd like to apologize for a pretty weak championship. I think everyone of my players had a turnover! The final standings went Pat, me, and Saruni. Checks will be out in the mail on Monday boys.
I hope everyone had a great time playing. For all the new guys that started this year, we hope to have you back. I would love to have a year with all 12 teams returning. As usual, be thinking about any tweaks and updates you think might make the league even better. We can vote on anything major at next year's draft. I'll be getting the new draft order and keeper lists out sometime in the coming months. Be sure to keep your email address updated so you're included on all future correspondence.
Again, hope everyone's holidays went great and I wish you and your families the best in the new year!

Playoffs? We're talking about Playoffs?
Greetings Everyone,
Just wanted to throw out an update for you guys. I know the playoffs are in full swing, but Pat and I had a nice stress free Sunday! There was a $55 bonus for the top 3 divisional champs. Those went to myself for the Coastal, Gregg & Brandon for the Central and Pat for the Mountain. Pat also took the $55 weekly prize from week 13 for top RB. Gentlemen, your checks are on the way!
Remember, for those of you in the consolation bracket, you're playing for the top draft pick next year. For those in the championship bracket, you're playing for more cash!!!

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!!!
And good luck in what is our last regular season head to head match up. There are some tight races with playoff implications and divisional championships for grabs. By my calculation, there are only a couple of teams out of the race for the championship playoff bracket.
Remember we have $55 bonuses for divisional winners and a $55 bonus for the top scoring RB this week. Only 6 teams make the championship bracket for the cash. But also remember the consolation bracket is playing for the first overall pick in next year's draft. The draft picks of the championship bracket teams will be set based on playoff seeding.

Greetings Everyone,
Been a while since I checked in, so I just wanted to say hey. We finished the out-of-division schedule and re-enter inter-divisional play again this week. You'll notice these weeks are all marked at "rivalry weeks."
MOST of you still have a mathematical chance at the playoffs, so good luck! Remember only 6 teams make the championship bracket with a chance at the big $$. Then we're doing the consolation bracket with draft pick implications for next year. The winner gets the first pick and on down the line with 6th (12th overall) getting the 6th pick next year. Remember as well that we have a $55 prize for the 3 divisional winners and one additional non NFL bye week prize for week 13 for the highest scoring RB. Maybe we should change this…does anyone have a viable starting RB this year??

So did anybody else read Mathew Berry's column from yesterday? Interesting timing huh?
Before I unveil the results, I wanted to reiterate that I wanted to make this as democratic as possible. I have my thoughts, but I don't want to dictate anything. On one hand, you have the rule thought process, where one could argue this was an outstanding offer and valid within league rules. On the other, you have the moral thought process where one could argue the spirit of the trade offer was no longer valid.
And...it appears you are a moral group of managers. The final vote was 7-2 including votes from both Nick and Pat. That includes 3 managers, including me, and also Kurt who thought it'd be funnier to be a smart ass then actually place a vote.
I know you're going to be pissed Pat, and I thought about adding the millions of votes from America due to your patriotism, but the league has spoken. I'm actually a bit surprised by the results. I'm not going to release the names of who voted for who, but even excluding family of Nick, you got outvoted.
I'll be manually adjusting rosters back to the status before the trade.

We have a grievance filed and we need a league vote to decide on the outcome. This one seems better suited to be decided on by you as managers and participants as opposed to just me.

Here's the situation. I'm just trying to present the facts...We have the following trade offered by Nick and accepted by Pat:
Nick (Heisenberg) trading:
- Dez Bryant
- DeAngelo Williams
Pat (Suh girls one cup) trading:
- Julio Jones
- Doug Martin
Nick is wanting the trade vetoed and Pat wants it to stand. Nick placed the trade offer prior to (time unknown, but sounds like more than a week ago) Julio Jones being hurt. Trade was not acted upon by Pat, was not accepted, countered, or rejected, but stayed active as a trade offer. Pat has now accepted the trade.
Please reply with your vote with a simple "Pat" or "Nick" and I'll tabulate the votes. We're going to go with majority vote on this. Because there is a game tomorrow and we're tight on time, if processed, this trade will not be effective until week 7 (trades processed after the first game of the week can't be processed till after). Voting closes at 8pm on Friday evening. A manager not voting doesn't count for anything. And no, Nick and Pat do not have to vote. I'm going to remain out of this as well to attempt to have an odd number of voters.
Let the pandering begin!

Hi Everyone,
Tom got lucky that I decided to put Antonio Brown in my flex and won the week 3 prize with Megatron. The checks will go out tomorrow to Matty for week 1, Rick for week 2, and to Tom tomorrow once I get some damn stamps.
That's it for the weekly prizes for a while with the NFL bye weeks starting up. Our next weekly prize will be in week 13 for the highest point total for a starting RB.
We start non-divisional games this week so we'll start to see which divisions are stronger than others. We'll return to divisional games in weeks 11-13 to finish up the playoff seeding.
Whether you're 3-0...ehhh hmmmm...or 0-3, there's still a lot of time to climb into the top 6 for the playoffs. Good luck everyone!

I want to try to reach out a little more often, but unfortunately work has me swamped lately. I hope you're all enjoying the league so far. Week 3 features the last matchup of the first round of the all-important divisional games. You'll play teams outside of your division until the last 3 weeks of the regular season where you'll again play your division foes.
Matty won week 1's prize for top QB with Peyton Manning acting like he's 25 again. Rick won week 2's prize for top TE with Jimmy Graham. If it's alright, I'm going to send these checks all out after Week 3. This week's prize goes to the highest starting WR. Remember, this has to come from your two WR's starting spots and not from the flex.
Everyone has paid and the cash is in the account...so thank you!
