All teams have selected their keepers. Remember, the deadline is still not till this Sunday at midnight so in case one of your keepers suffers a major injury during this weekend of preseason games (knock on wood for us all) then you can still make the change if you email me by Sunday OR if you just change your mind. That said, here are the official budgeted totals after each picked their 2 keepers
Renton Shakers $200
Salsa Touchdowns $200
Swayz Phase $187
Al Davis Forever $182
Incredibles $180
Leinart's Lemons $179
BAD NEWZ KENNELS $171
Do it for the TaTas $166
The Rebels $161
Bengali Bombers $161
Johnsonboyz $156
Armchair Left Tackle $153
Issaquah Timbers $150
West Seattle Shakers $131
• Bellevue Shakers (formerly the West Seattle Shakers), used most of their budget on two pricey players Brees & McCoy. We’ll see if that was wise strategy.
• Timbers (formerly the Ridgers) kept RB’s Ray Rice and DeMarco Murray over Phillip Rivers and Tim Tebow!
• Armchair kept Jamal Charles and Gronk over Skittles. Interesting!
• Johnsonboyz kept Megatron and Cam Newton (for $1…AMAZING.) Nothing to criticize here
• Bengali kept Fitzgerald and Darren Sproles.
• The Rebels (Inagural FFFL Champions) kept Aaron Rodgers and Victor Cruz leaving Arian Foster, Jordy Nelson, and Michael Turner to free agency.
• TaTas kept WR’s Stevie Johnson and Julio Jones. Why not Mason Crosby or Plaxico Burress?
• Bad Newz kept Ryan Matthews and Steve Smith. They tried to keep Jordy Nelson, but forgot they traded him to The Rebels last year.
• Lemons kept Ahmad Bradshaw and AJ Green. Shocker that he didn’t keep MJD or a combo of Bradshaw/Nicks, his favorite Giants!
• Incredibles kept Matthew Stafford and Jimmy Graham over Matt Forte and Peyton Manning!
• Al Davis kept Wes Welker and the San Francisco Defense. Only DEF selected as a keeper, so maybe he’s starting a new fantasy trend
• Swayz kept McGahee and Garcon over pricier options Tom Brady and Frank Gore….interesting
Renton Shakers have the 1st pick in the expansion draft. Then Salsa TD’s get their 2 picks then Renton makes their 2nd selection. We will use the contracts (2011 values) for the remainder of the players and they have until Sunday August 19th to make their 2 selections.
Here’s an overview of who they can select (assuming all keep their same keepers till Sunday):
1. Arian Foster
2. MJD
3. Chris Johnson
4. Roddy White
5. Andre Johnson
6. Tom Brady
7. Tim Tebow
Finally for those in the Seattle area, get off work early and head to Bellevue’s 520 bar and grill: http://520barandgrill.com/ There are 9 of us who live here so hope all 9 can make it We have it reserved from 5:30pm – 9pm. Although it’s not a private room, they do have wifi and the atmosphere nice We have big tables and we’ll only need a power strip to plug in all our laptops. I’m also brining my VZW mifi as back up. If you have ways to connect to the internet mobile wise you may want to bring it too
Ok, I think we are good to go! Good luck all!
Go Cougs!
