  • Philip Rivers (SD - QB)
    Image of P. Rivers

Nov 24 - QB Philip Rivers was efficient, completing 17-0f-22 passes for 145 yards and a score. He missed on just one of 14 pass attempts in the first half. Rivers was asked to basically manage the game instead of win it -- a nice change of pace for the Chargers.

Nov 23 - Rivers was a crisp 17 for 22 and he led San Diego to scores on seven of 10 drives in Sunday's 32-3 win at Denver.
Advice: Rivers has completed 68.8 percent of his passes and thrown for 10 TDs with three interceptions during the Chargers' five-game winning streak.

Nov 22 - QB Philip Rivers is on a hot streak, completing 37 of 47 passes in his past two games.

  • Michael Turner (Atl - RB)
    Image of M. Turner

Nov 24 - RB Michael Turner doesn't want to miss the team's playoff push, but his ankle might have more to say about that. He's pushing hard to get back on the field after suffering a high right ankle sprain against Carolina. He missed the game last week against the New York Giants, but is holding out hope that he can return this week. "I'm just taking it easy right now and hoping for the best," Turner said Monday. The team's leading rushing, Turner didn't even test the injury, suffered against Carolina on Nov.15, by running on the field before Sunday's. "We didn't get that far," Turner said. If Turner can't go, Jason Snelling would fill in at his spot for the second consecutive week. The Falcons may also get a boost with the return of Jerious Norwood. He returned to practice last week, but has missed five straight games with a right hip flexor. "It's an ankle sprain," Turner said. "These injuries are kind of like funny. Some guys take six weeks to bounce back, but I don't think I'll take that long. I'm just trying to get back to my normal self again." Turner has been a fast healer before. While playing in college at Northern Illinois in 2001, Turner suffered a sprained left ankle and missed only one game. He was reluctant to compare that old injury to this one. "In ‘01, I can't remember that far back," said Turner. "They don't ever tell you exactly. They just project how long you can be out. It's not you're definitely out this amount of time because it's a sprain. It could easily heal back faster than expected."

Nov 23 - RB Michael Turner (high right ankle sprain) is hoping to come back faster than anticipated. But two weeks might still be too optimistic given his injury.

Nov 21 - RB Michael Turner could miss anywhere from four to six weeks with a high right ankle sprain suffered Sunday, but the Falcons are hoping he's a quick healer. He is officially listed as doubtful for Sunday.

Nov 21 - RB Michael Turner (ankle) will not play Sunday, according to ESPN. Jason Snelling will start.

  • Frank Gore (SF - RB)
    Image of F. Gore

Nov 24 - RB Frank Gore was largely the forgotten man Sunday when the 49ers went exclusively to a spread offense in the second half against the Packers. While Gore played every snap from scrimmage, he carried the ball twice and caught two passes for 14 yards and a touchdown in the second half.

Nov 23 - Gore had 7 carries for 59 yards Sunday and also had a TD reception in a 30-24 loss at Green Bay.
Advice: Fantasy owners have to dismayed at the number of carries for Gore, but it was a product of the 49ers falling way behind and abandoning the run.

Nov 23 - RB Frank Gore has scored a touchdown in four consecutive games. Gore gained 59 yards on just seven rushing attempts Sunday against the Packers. He also caught a 10-yard touchdown pass in the fourth quarter.

Nov 22 - RB Frank Gore had 59 yards rushing, with 42 of them coming on his first carry of the game. Gore also caught three passes for 9 yards, including a touchdown.

  • Reggie Wayne (Ind - WR)
    Image of R. Wayne

Nov 24 - WR Reggie Wayne has already surpassed last year's total of 69 receptions. Wayne has hauled in 76 passes for 968 yards and eight touchdowns. He needs 29 receptions to set a personal single-season mark (104, 2007). His career-best for receiving yards was 1,510 last year. Wayne needs 543 yards to pass that total.

Nov 23 - WR Reggie Wayne and TE Dallas Clark have set an NFL record for the most combined catches for teammates through the first 10 games of a regular season. Wayne, with 76 receptions, and Clark, who has hauled in 65 passes, have combined for 141. The previous record of 136 was shared by WR Johnny Morris (77) and TE Mike Ditka (59) of the 1964 Chicago Bears, and WRs Herman Moore (73) and Brett Perriman (63) of the 1995 Detroit Lions.

Nov 23 - Wayne had seven catches for 89 yards Sunday in a 17-15 win at Baltimore.
Advice: It was a solid effort for Wayne, although he didn't score. He's still got 8 TDs this year and is one of the best in the NFL.

  • Hines Ward (Pit - WR)
    Image of H. Ward

Nov 24 - WR Hines Ward is having one of his best seasons at age 33. His 63 receptions for 798 yards each ranks sixth in the NFL, and he has five TDs.

Nov 23 - WR Hines Ward caught a season-high 10 passes for 128 yards and one touchdown Sunday to give him 63 for 798 yards and five touchdowns.

Nov 23 - Ward had 10 catches fro 128 yards, including an 8-yard touchdown, in Pittsburgh's 27-24 overtime loss to Kansas City on Sunday.
Advice: Ward bounced back after being held to 12 catches for 71 yards in his previous three games.

  • Jason Witten (Dal - TE)
    Image of J. Witten

Nov 24 - TE Jason Witten hasn't missed a game since his rookie year in 2003. He could see his streak snapped at 103 against the Raiders on Thursday because of a sprained foot. He is listed as a game time decision.

Nov 24 - Witten will be a game-time decision for Thursday's game against Oakland because of an ankle injury.
Advice: Witten was hurt in the second quarter of Dallas' 7-6 victory over Washington on Sunday. He continued playing, but was held out of a light practice Monday and was limited Tuesday. Coach Wade Phillips said doctors are concerned Witten could worsen the injury if he plays on it. Witten's 54 catches are easily the most on the team. His 481 yards are second-most.
