  • Back with team
Bennett (illness) has been participating in the Rams' OTAs this spring, Cameron DaSilva of USA Today reports.

Advice: Bennett, whom the Rams selected in the fourth round of the 2023 NFL Draft, spent his entire rookie season on the reserve/non-football illness list for an undisclosed reason. Now that he's back on the field, Bennett is slated to see practice reps this spring behind starter Matthew Stafford and No. 2 quaterback Jimmy Garoppolo, who is in line to miss the first two games of the regular season for violating the NFL's performance-enhancing substances policy. Along with Garoppolo and Bennett, the Rams have Dresser Winn on the offseason roster as backup options behind Stafford. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:16 am

  • Justin Fields: ‘I’m nowhere near my ceiling’
Steelers QB Justin Fields said he’s “nowhere near [his] ceiling.”

Advice: Fields practiced alongside nominal starting QB Russell Wilson during OTAs this week and said the quarterback duo is “definitely competing” for the Steelers’ Week 1 starting job. “I’m not the same quarterback that I was last year,” Fields said. “I’m not the same quarterback that I even was yesterday. … I think I have a lot more room to grow. I’m nowhere near my ceiling.” The Athletic’s Mike DeFabo said the quarterback competition will continue throughout the summer, though it “remains to be seen whether Fields can do enough in practice and in preseason games to change the team’s thinking.” The hyper-mobile Fields could eventually be while Wilson is deployed as the between-the-20s QB in Arthur Smith’s run-heavy offense.

  • Participating in OTAs
Hardison (elbow) was a full participant at the Dolphins' organized team activities Monday, Hal Habib of the Palm Beach Post reports.

Advice: Hardison had an elbow injury when he signed with Miami as an undrafted free agent in April. The UTEP product appears to be healthy now, though. He'll compete with Skylar Thompson for the No. 3 option under center behind Tua Tagovailoa and Mike White. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 6:08 pm

  • Moves past foot issue
Levis (foot) participated in 7-on-7 drills during Tuesday's OTA session.

Advice: Levis was slowed by a foot injury late last season, but he relayed in February that he was close to 100 percent healthy. The second-year QB appears to have put the issue behind him, and Levis got in some work with the Titans' top wideouts Tuesday, a group that includes free-agent additions Calvin Ridley and Tyler Boyd along with returnees DeAndre Hopkins and Treylon Burks. With veteran Ryan Tannehill no longer in the mix, Levis is the team's clear-cut top QB, backed up by Mason Rudolph and Malik Willis. During his rookie season, Levis completed 149-of-255 passing attempts for 1,808 yards with eight touchdowns and four interceptions over nine starts. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 2:33 pm

  • Needs stitches
Boyle suffered a cut on his finger during OTAs on Monday, which required stitches, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.

Advice: Boyle suffered the injury while taking a snap during practice and is expected to miss about a week, according to Wilson. The veteran quarterback is working to earn a spot on the Texans' QB depth chart behind C.J. Stroud and is competing with Davis Mills and Case Keenum. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 11:43 am

  • Hot start to OTAs
Herbert (finger) has impressed early in OTAs during 11-on-11 drills and is already demonstrating a connection with rookie wide receiver Ladd McConkey, Daniel Popper of The Athletic reports.

Advice: Herbert looks fully recovered from the finger injury that cost him the final four games of 2023, and after losing both Keenan Allen and Mike Williams (knee) this offseason, it's encouraging to see him already establishing trust with McConkey. Even with new coach Jim Harbaugh installing a run-heavy scheme, Herbert should still provide strong passing numbers working with McConkey and returning wideouts Joshua Palmer and Quentin Johnston. The addition of No. 5 overall pick Joe Alt, who's started at right tackle throughout OTAs, also promises more protection for Herbert, which should ease any adjustment to a new offensive philosophy. • No limitations at OTAs, as expected
Coach Robert Saleh said Tuesday that Rodgers (Achilles) is "doing everything" at OTAs, Andy Vasquez of The Bergen Record reports.

Advice: Rodgers was expected to be without restrictions at OTAs, but confirmation that he's been a full participant at practices so far is positive sign for the 40-year-old's recovery. While Rodgers' progress will still need to be monitored until he's resumed handling full contact activities, it's worth noting that he did manage to resume practicing with the Jets down the stretch of the 2023 season. • Report: Tua Tagovailoa slimmed down in offseason
ESPN’s Cameron Wolfe reports Tua Tagovailoa lost 10-15 pounds this offseason.

Advice: Wolfe said Tua dropped the weight “seeking more agility/escapability.” It’s a worthwhile effort from a largely immobile passer who was dead in the water last year as soon as pass rushers broke through the Miami offensive line. A slightly more mobile Tua — one who could break the pocket and make plays out of structure — would add an entirely new element to a dangerous Dolphins offense. Tagovailoa, who is working on a long-term deal with the team, reported to OTAs on Monday. Wolfe said he expects Tua to get $50 million a year in his new deal, in line with Jared Goff’s recent extension with the Lions. Rotoworld Tuesday, 5:25 am

  • Let go by Cleveland
Sirmon was waived by the Browns on Monday, Zac Jackson of The Athletic reports.

Advice: The quarterback signed with the Browns on May 12 after participating in the team's rookie minicamp. During his final collegiate season at Northern Colorado in 2023, Sirmon completed 56.4 percent of his passes for 1,255 yards, eight touchdowns and nine interceptions. Rotowire.com Monday, 4:41 pm
