Advice: The Bills have been using Fred Jackson on punt returns, so Thigpen should provide an upgrade. It's not a good sign for Marquise Goodwin, who was a healthy scratch last week. Thigpen averaged 16.3 yards on punt returns in four games with the Bucs. Rotoworld.com

Jermaine Kearse (ankle) is listed as probable for Week 13 against the 49ers.

Patriots signed WR Matthew Slater to a two-year, $4 million contract extension through 2016.

Advice: Slater, 29, was set to become a free agent following the season. The premier kick coverer in the league, Slater doesn't play offense whatsoever. • Nick Toon has three-catch night vs. Ravens
Saints WR Nick Toon played 44-of-74 snaps in Monday's loss to the Ravens, catching 3-of-5 targets for 42 yards.

Advice: Each of the catches, yards and targets were the most of Toon's thus far dismal three-year career. He had previously never caught more than one pass in a game. The New Orleans Times-Picayune expects Toon to maintain a role for however long Robert Meachem (ankle) is sidelined. It's nice to see Toon finally getting some regular-season run, but he's highly unlikely to come into 2014 fantasy value. Rotoworld.com

  • Cooper bizarrely ties snaps to Maclin deal
Speaking Monday, Riley Cooper blamed his decreased snaps on walk-year WR Jeremy Maclin's contract situation.

Advice: "Maclin's trying to get a contract, so he's probably not going to try and come out of the game," Cooper said. Maclin was not amused, responding "that was not a very smart thing for Coop to say." Cooper later claimed he was kidding, and tried to make amends. "Maclin, I guess, is a lot better player than me, so he doesnÂ’t have to sub. I guess I should have said that yesterday." Maclin has dominated this season, while Cooper has wheezed to a 39/425/1 line. Rotoworld.com

  • Kenny Stills played on 67.5% of snaps
Kenny Stills played on 50-of-74 snaps (67.5 percent) in Monday night's loss to the Ravens.

Advice: In the first game since Brandin Cooks was lost for the season, Stills set career-highs in both catches (8) and targets (9). So even though his snap count didn't rise dramatically, his usage was the key note. As expected, Stills was no longer merely asked to run vertical clear-out routes -- instead getting high-percentage looks from Drew Brees. Given this new role, his extremely efficient skill set and a cupcake rest-of-season schedule, Stills is an excellent WR3 prospect. Rotoworld.com

  • Joe Morgan manages 129 yards on two touches
Joe Morgan caught one pass for 62 yards and rushed one time for 67 yards in the Saints' Week 12 loss to the Ravens.

Advice: Yes, that's 129 yards on two touches. Morgan took the second play of the game 67 yards on a reverse up the left sideline before getting tackle inside the five-yard line. He later beat Lardarius Webb on a double-move before getting taken down in the red zone again. Morgan is simply a situational deep threat. Rotoworld.com

  • Steve Smith Sr. rises from the dead on MNF
Steve Smith Sr. caught four passes for 89 yards and one touchdown in the Ravens' Week 12 win over the Saints.

Advice: Smith Sr. and Torrey Smith each led the Ravens with six targets. Steve's 89 yards were his most since Week 6, while it was also his first end-zone visit since that same game. It was a predictable coming out party for Steve on national television against a familiar foe. He got into several dust-ups after the whistle, most notably with Kenny Vaccaro that led to both teams getting tangled up on the Ravens' sideline. Smith Sr. will be a WR3 at home against the Chargers in Week 13. He greatly benefitted from the Week 11 bye. Rotoworld.com

Kenny Stills caught eight passes for 98 yards in the Saints' Week 12 loss to the Ravens.

Advice: Stills was targeted nine times, mostly on short routes allowing him to try and use his after-the-catch skills. The Ravens did a good job on the outside of keeping Stills in front of them. His big play was a 33-yard catch over the top of CB Danny Gorrer, as Stills wrestled the ball away from Gorrer while falling to the ground. Stills will be a solid WR3 in Pittsburgh against the Steelers in Week 13. Rotoworld.com

Robert Woods caught nine passes for 118 yards and a touchdown in Monday night's Week 12 win over the Jets.

Advice: Woods took advantage of being matched up with Jets CB Darrin Walls, who the Bills picked on throughout the game. He made a nice adjustment on a back-shoulder throw for a seven-yard touchdown, and also had a one-handed catch in the second quarter. Woods isn't worth targeting on waivers despite the big game. • Donte Moncrief edges out Nicks in snaps
Donte Moncrief played on 30 snaps in Sunday's win over the Jaguars, two more than Hakeem Nicks.

Advice: Reggie Wayne led the way by playing on 71-of-76 snaps, followed by T.Y. Hilton's 59. So Moncrief's count was skewed a bit by Hilton taking it easy (presumably because he was operating on no sleep after the birth of his daughter), but it's still notable that the rookie is eating into the washed-up Nicks' time. If we can ever get into a spot where we know Moncrief is going to get 60-70 percent of the snaps, he'll be a strong WR2/3 play. Rotoworld.com

Advice: Britt was targeted five times and could have had a much bigger day. He had a 51-yard touchdown called back due to a facemask penalty on RT Joe Barksdale. Britt's big catch was a 27-yard sliding grab late in the fourth quarter to set the Rams up inside the five-yard line. Britt will be a WR3 next week vs. Oakland. Rotoworld.com

Jermaine Kearse caught one pass for 19 yards in Sunday's Week 12 win over the Cardinals.

Advice: Kearse predictably found nowhere to run against Patrick Peterson and Antonio Cromartie. He saw just two targets and was spotted on the sidelines stretching out his shoulder at one point. • Riley Cooper continues to perform sub-average
Riley Cooper caught three passes for 49 yards in Sunday's Week 12 win over the Titans.

Advice: Cooper was at least partially to blame for Mark Sanchez's first interception as he ran a terrible route, didn't cross the defender's face on a slant and quit on the play. The only reason he continues to log heavy snaps is because he's a good blocker. Cooper, with one touchdown and one game over 60 yards all season, should have been on waivers long ago in fantasy formats. Rotoworld.com

Advice: Hakeem Nicks was first man up in three-wide sets, but Moncrief ate into that playing time as the game continued. Moncrief drew four targets to Nicks' one. Hopefully the Colts realize how Moncrief is lightyears better than Nicks and up his snaps over the final month of the season. Until then, Moncrief won't be a recommended fantasy play. ESPN Saints reporter Mike Triplett expects the Saints to rely more on Kenny Stills and Marques Colston with Brandin Cooks (thumb) out 2-4 weeks.

Advice: Stills was quietly one of the league's more impressive rookies last year. He hasn't been overly productive this year as he's executed the Devery Henderson/Robert Meachem vertical role, but he has shown well lately with 21 catches and two touchdowns over his last five games. Now ticketed for more high-percentage routes that Cooks left behind, Stills is a borderline WR3. Colston and Jimmy Graham also get ticks up. Rotoworld.com

Kenny Britt caught four passes for 128 yards and one touchdown in the Rams' Week 11 win over the Broncos.

Advice: Britt was targeted seven times and did all of his damage in the first half. On Shaun Hill's second pass of the game, he drilled Britt down the seam for a 33-yard gain. It could have easily gone for a 73-yard TD if Britt was hit in stride. No worries. Hill later hooked up with Britt for a 63-yard TD after he roasted rookie CB Bradley Roby.
