  • Redskins to announce Griffin's benching
ESPN's Adam Schefter reports the Redskins will announce Wednesday that Robert Griffin III has been benched for Colt McCoy.

Advice: After watching Redskins tape, NFL Films' Greg Cosell recently noted that RG3 "needs to go back to QB school." He is a mess mechanically and seems to have lost all of his confidence during an abysmal third NFL season. Per Schefter, the Skins still view Griffin as a "significant" part of their long-term plan, and hope to add better talent around him this offseason. With LT Trent Williams (knee/ankle) banged up, they'll throw McCoy to the dogs. Griffin is safe to drop in fantasy leagues of all sizes. It's fair to wonder if he will ever mesh with first-year coach Gruden. Despite Schefter's optimistic report, we suspect they won't. Rotoworld.com

  • Arians talks up Michael Bush signing
When discussing the signing of RB Michael Bush, coach Bruce Arians said, "We need a guy who's gonna pound it in there and close out games for us."

Advice: It can be taken as a sign the Cardinals are going to use Bush in goal-line and short-yardage situations. With Andre Ellington averaging over 20 touches per game and looking like he may need a breather, it's not out of the question that Bush will step into a prominent role. It's a hit to Ellington's value, but we could also argue it's a boost. Ellington is most effective when he's fresh, and less touches would make him more explosive. He's still a solid RB1/2. • Nick Toon has three-catch night vs. Ravens
Saints WR Nick Toon played 44-of-74 snaps in Monday's loss to the Ravens, catching 3-of-5 targets for 42 yards.

Advice: Each of the catches, yards and targets were the most of Toon's thus far dismal three-year career. He had previously never caught more than one pass in a game. The New Orleans Times-Picayune expects Toon to maintain a role for however long Robert Meachem (ankle) is sidelined. It's nice to see Toon finally getting some regular-season run, but he's highly unlikely to come into 2014 fantasy value. Rotoworld.com

"I feel like I’ve gotten stronger throughout the year, so I have to continue to work hard during the week and it’ll show up on Sundays." The Cowboys have actually eased off the throttle a bit with Murray in recent weeks, giving him an average of "just" 25 touches over their past four games. Advice: RB Kerwynn Williams has been waived in a corresponding roster move. Bush's name may sound like a blast from the past, but he appeared in 15 games for the Bears last season. Bush was dreadful during his two years in Chicago, averaging just 3.4 yards on 177 carries. He brings tons of experience to a backfield that lacks it, however. Although Andre Ellington's production has declined as his carries have increased and the schedule stiffened, Bush is zero threat to his No. 1 status. Robert Griffin III completed 11-of-19 passes for 106 yards and rushed four times for 11 yards in the Redskins' Week 12 loss to San Francisco.

Advice: He took five sacks and lost a fumble on Washington's final offensive play. One week after RG3 almost single-handedly torpedoed Jay Gruden's offense, the Skins' coaching staff attempted to simplify things for their quarterback by running the ball with a lot of volume against San Francisco's normally stout defensive front. Griffin essentially functioned as a game manager, doing nothing to help a red-hot Alfred Morris. The Skins stayed competitive for longer than expected in this game, but not because of their quarterback. We suppose Griffin deserves credit for "playing hard" against a swarming 49ers' pass rush, although we tend to believe all football players should "play hard." Not even in the fantasy QB1 conversation any longer, Griffin will be a risky two-quarterback-league option in Week 13 against the Colts. Rotoworld.com

The only reason he continues to log heavy snaps is because he's a good blocker. Cooper, with one touchdown and one game over 60 yards all season, should have been on waivers long ago in fantasy formats. Rotoworld.com

Brandon Marshall caught 3-of-5 targets for 32 yards Week 12 against the Buccaneers.

Advice: Marshall made a couple early catches but saw his targets dry up as the Bears took the air out of the ball in the fourth quarter. Marshall escaped the game without any setbacks, and it appears his ankle is no longer an issue. He will be a borderline WR1 against the Lions on Thanksgiving day. Rotoworld.com

Calvin Johnson secured 4-of-10 targets for 58 yards in the Lions' Week 12 loss to New England.

Advice: Megatron primarily squared off with Brandon Browner, while Darrelle Revis handled Golden Tate. Johnson's cause wasn't helped by Matthew Stafford's erratic accuracy, but Megatron contributed to Detroit's offensive disarray with a pair of drops. Expect Johnson to bounce back down the stretch, as the Lions have a string of cupcake matchups in their final four games of the fantasy season. They'll square off with the Bears on Thanksgiving next. • Report: RG3 will be on short leash against SF
Sources tell ESPN's Chris Mortensen that Robert Griffin III will be on a short leash in Sunday's Week 12 game at San Francisco.

Advice: The Redskins dysfunction continues. Taking over as "Raiders East," they're now leaking that they could yank RG3 in favor of Colt McCoy -- either during Sunday's game or ahead of Week 13. Head coach Jay Gruden sharply criticized Griffin's fundamentals this week and even said the 2012 No. 2 overall pick has been "coddled." The Redskins, 0-2 since RG3 returned from a dislocated ankle, are 9.5-point underdogs Sunday. There's a disconnect between Gruden, who clearly wants a new franchise quarterback, and the front office. Gruden fired back at his quarterback, saying RGIII needs to worry about himself. Coach also said the "clock's ticking" for RGIII and he's "auditioned long enough." Lynch is still one of the top backs in the league and makes plays seemingly every game that only a few players in the league can make. Cooks worked close to the line of scrimmage. Colston, as the slot receiver, does the same, whereas Stills is more of a clear-out deep threat. • Brandon Marshall goes 7-90-2 against Vikings
Brandon Marshall secured 7-of-10 targets for 90 yards and two touchdowns in the Bears' Week 11 win over the Vikings.

Advice: Marshall shook off his second ankle injury of the season for a dominant performance in which the Bears picked apart Vikings LCB Josh Robinson. Both Marshall and Alshon Jeffery caught TDs against Robinson in the 21-13 win. With Marshall proving his health on the field, he should be treated as a fantasy WR1 when the Bears take on a porous Buccaneers pass defense next. Marshall now has 15 catches for 202 yards and three TDs over his last three games. Rotoworld.com

  • RGIII disapoints against Bucs
Robert Griffin III completed 23-of-32 passes for 207 yards with one touchdown and two interceptions in Sunday's Week 11 loss to the Bucs.

Advice: Griffin threw interceptions on the first two drives, including a pick-six to Bucs CB Jonathan Banks. The interceptions both came on deflections, but Griffin missed open throws to DeSean Jackson downfield and wasn't accurate in the short pass game. His touchdown came on a 30-yard screen pass to Roy Helu at the end of the first half. Griffin added six carries for 41 yards and continued to look good as a runner. It's a disappointing performance in a matchup with a Bucs secondary playing without starting CB Alterraun Verner. Griffin will be just a QB2 option in Week 12 against the 49ers. Rotoworld.com

  • Reggie Bush officially inactive vs. Cardinals
Reggie Bush (ankle) is inactive for Week 11 against the Cardinals.

Advice: As is Brandon Pettigrew (foot). Bush's absence leaves Theo Riddick as the Lions' third-down back behind early-down hammer Joique Bell. Riddick is a low-end FLEX play. Bush should be considered week to week. Also inactive for the Lions are DT Nick Fairley, RG Larry Warford, QB Kellen Moore, DE Larry Webster and WR Ryan Broyles. Rotoworld.com

  • Browns 'hopeful' Cameron can return Wk 12
According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the Browns are "hopeful" Jordan Cameron (concussion) returns for Week 12.

Advice: The Browns aren't giving up hope on Cameron, who has suffered three concussions since the 2012 season. Schefter admitted the situation is "unpredictable," but at least there's a little optimism here. The Browns know for sure that they're getting Josh Gordon back Week 12. Rotoworld.com

  • Brandon Marshall active for Week 11
Brandon Marshall is active for Week 11 against the Vikings.

Advice: This was expected after Marshall was listed as probable on Friday. The Bears' Week 11 inactives are OL Jordan Mills, OL Eben Britton, WR Josh Morgan, LB Darryl Sharpton, DE Trevor Scott, CB Terrence Mitchell, and TE Blake Annen. Rotoworld.com
