DBud's CHASE is playing with house money now after clinching a spot in the playoffs. This win served Los Carpinchos a cold dish of revenge after they won a Week 1 matchup, 71.02 to 64.23. DBud's CHASE (9-3, 1,131.58 points) remains in second place and Los Carpinchos (6-6, 1,214.67 points) stays in fifth place.

    Smooth Moves by DBud's CHASE

    • Sat Joique Bell, who scored 4.60 points, fewer than any RB in the starting lineup.
    • Sat DeSean Jackson, who scored fewer points than any WR in the starting lineup with 3.90.
    • Added Isaiah Crowell, who scored 20.80 points to lead the team.
    • DBud's CHASE won despite having only 2 of their 9 starters exceed their projected points.
    • What do Apache helicopters, F-117 Nighthawks and Dez Bryant have in common? They are all dangerous aerial weapons. He ranked third in the league in scoring among WRs this week with 20.60 points.

    Toyota Roster Tune-up

    • Not reading the expert articles from the Hall Of Fame. And if they did, maybe they should pay better attention when they read.
    • Did not start Justin Hunter, who scored 12.40 points and beat his projected point total by a team-leading 64.5%.
    • Whoever gave you this advice, you might want to lose their number. Picked up and started the Cleveland Browns Defense, which then scored below their 12.41-point projection with 7.00 points.
    • Los Carpinchos had 7 starters fail to reach their projections.
    • A heated blanket would be a great gift for Andre Johnson during this cold streak. He scored below his projection in five straight games after scoring 3.60 points against a projected 10.01 this week.

    What If

    • If DBud's CHASE played Los Carpinchos every week, they would be 3-9 this season.
    • DBud's CHASE would have beaten only three other teams besides Los Carpinchos this week.
    • Were they resting their players for this week? DBud's CHASE would have defeated Los Carpinchos 97.60 - 83.35 had they played each other last week.
    • If they played the same schedule as Los Carpinchos, DBud's CHASE would be 7-3.
    • If DBud's CHASE had played every team in the league each week, they would be 62-70.
    • Los Carpinchos would have lost to nine other teams besides DBud's CHASE this week.
    • Los Carpinchos would be 7-3 if they played the same schedule as DBud's CHASE.
    • If they played every team every week, Los Carpinchos would be 72-60.

    Game Notes

    • Los Carpinchos scored 87.20 points against a projected 109.13 and underachieved for the eighth time this season, including the last three weeks in a row.
    • With the win, DBud's CHASE has a five-game win streak, currently the longest in the league.
    • At 3.12 points, the margin of victory was the tightest of the week.
    • Just because Robert Horry has seven NBA championship rings, doesn't mean he's one of the greats. Despite being on the winning team, Antonio Gates scored 1.40 points against a projected 8.62 and has now underachieved in three straight games.
    • The Kansas City Chiefs Defense did little to help DBud's CHASE, underperforming versus projections for the third straight game with 11.20 points against a projected 14.59.
    • The Toyota Hall Of Fame recommends Los Carpinchos go on a WINNING streak, instead of a LOSING streak. That one word makes a surprising amount of difference.
    • Los Carpinchos falls to 0-2 in close games this season, remaining winless.
    • DBud's CHASE stays undefeated in close games this season at 3-0.

Fred Taylor JAC - RB 2000 vs. Pittsburgh 33 touches, 248 total yards, 4 TDs Fred Taylor earned the nickname "Fragile" because of the frequency of which he would land on the NFL injury report.

But when he was healthy, he was a sight to behold. And the pinnacle of his career was in Week 12 of '12, when he rolled up the Pittsburgh defense for 248 yards and four touchdowns. For fantasy owners, it was an amazing time to own the Jacksonville back. After sitting out the first three games of that season (we mentioned that he was fragile, right?), he returned to post modest numbers in his his three games back in the lineup. But his 10 game run to close out the '00 campaign is the stuff of legend. From Weeks 7-16, Taylor went straight games with at least 100 rushing yards. And over the final seven games of the season, he amassed a whopping 13 TDs, including a hat trick+1 in Week 12 and another hat trick (and 181 rushing yards) two weeks later.
Each week of the season we will bring you the top fantasy football performances of the past 10+ years for that week.
