We're getting there." Andrew Quarless and rookie Richard Rodgers have been handling tight end duties, but have brought nothing to the table as pass catchers. Bostick is the best athlete of the group. The Eagles credited Matthews with two, possibly even three, drops against the Colts last week when he secured just 1-of-4 targets. Advice: The Lions' defensive front lived in the Panthers' backfield in this one, and Jonathan Stewart got the nod ahead of Tolbert in a fourth-quarter scoring situation, with Stewart powering in from two yards out. Advice: McCluster was the third Titans' runner to get a carry behind Shonn Greene and Bishop Sankey, but the primary change-of-pace back ahead of Sankey, who was given only two touches. Advice: Ellington ripped off a number of big plays on the ground, but lost nine carries to Jonathan Dwyer, including a valuable goal-line plunge. Through two weeks, Ellington has rarely been a part of Arizona's red-zone offense, which is a major concern for his fantasy value in standard (non-PPR leagues). He's more of an RB2/flex in those scoring systems. He's an every-week RB2 in PPR. The Cardinals will take on San Francisco's depleted defense next. Rotoworld.com

  • Josh Gordon 'notified' of 10-game suspension
According to the Cleveland Plain Dealer, Josh Gordon "has been notified" his suspension will be reduced from 16 to 10 games, "pending final approval" of the NFL's new drug policy.

Advice: Profootballtalk.com has now joined the Plain Dealer and ESPN's Adam Schefter in reporting Gordon's suspension will indeed be ten games, reduced from 16. The new substance abuse policy reduced the ban. PFT's Mike Florio reports Gordon will be subject to another two-game suspension stemming from his offseason DUI arrest, but Florio considers it "unlikely" that the additional ban will be enforced during the 2014 season. • Report: Gordon's suspension will be 10 games
The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports Josh Gordon will be suspended ten games under the terms of the NFL's new drug policy.

Advice: It's two more games than expected, but at least Gordon will be available, technically, in Weeks 12-17 for the Browns. That assumes he makes no mistakes during the ten-game ban, and no more games are tacked on for his offseason DUI arrest. We suspect fantasy owners will have a tough time hanging onto Gordon as bye-week crunches set in, but it's certainly worth trying in 12- and 14-team leagues. Gordon was already suspended for Week 1, and the Browns' bye is in Week 4, so the projected return date is Week 12. Advice: Werder reports Williams "did some running" on Friday, but "still has pain" in his thigh. The Panthers figure to turn to Jonathan Stewart as their lead back against Detroit's stingy run defense, with Mike Tolbert and Fozzy Whittaker mixing in. Fantasy owners can hold onto Williams as an injured RB4, but it isn't as if he offers much upside when healthy. Panthers coach Ron Rivera admitted to "concern" over DeAngelo Williams' (thigh, questionable) Week 2 availability after Williams missed Friday's practice.
