Fantasy football owners will accept any point margin to keep a win streak alive, but if you are able to win in a commanding fashion, it makes the streak all the more sweet. That is what Balance Sheets accomplished this week when they put up the highest score of the week, and won their third win in as many matchups, defeating Autoshafted 117.12 to 90.98. The streak has changed the season for Balance Sheets. They went from ninth place to sixth since Week 8. The margin wasn't as big as it could have been, Balance Sheets had a starter score zero points (Willie Snead). Autoshafted slides to seventh place with a 5-5 record. Balance Sheets has now steamrolled Ariel's Unreal Team (115.18 to 105.44) and TJ's Terrific Team (112.16 to 101.36).

  • Do you put a LB or DB on him? You might have to put both on him if this continues. Jordan Reed scored 14.90 points to rank second among TEs in the league this week.
  • Stephen Gostkowski has now overachieved in eight straight games after scoring 11.00 points against a projected 8.06.

Toyota Roster Tune-up

  • If only we provided some kind of tool, like weekly articles, that would help Autoshafted secure a victory. Oh, WAIT, we do.
  • Did not start Ben Roethlisberger, who scored 27.96 points and beat his projected point total by 34,504.0%, which was the highest percentage in the league.
  • Autoshafted could have used more points from the TE position, where Balance Sheets beat them 14.90 - 1.90.

  • At the DEF position, Autoshafted got outscored 16.00 - 5.00 by Balance Sheets.

  • If Balance Sheets played Autoshafted every week, they'd be 6-4 this year.
  • Balance Sheets would've been undefeated if they played every team in the league this week.
  • If they played the same schedule as Autoshafted, Balance Sheets would be 4-4.
  • If Balance Sheets had played every team in the league each week, they would be 46-44.
  • Autoshafted would have lost to six other teams besides Balance Sheets this week.
  • Timing really is everything. Balance Sheets would have lost to Autoshafted 131.92 - 112.16 had they played each other last week.
  • If they played the same schedule as Balance Sheets, Autoshafted would be 2-6.
  • Autoshafted would be 38-52 if they played every team every week.

Game Notes

  • Three of the five losses for Autoshafted this season have come when their opponent had their highest-scoring week of the season.
  • With 117.12 points, Balance Sheets set their new season-high en route to leading the league in scoring for the week.
  • Autoshafted scored 90.98 points and lost. It is their highest losing score of the season.
  • The manager of Balance Sheets was probably the person who destroyed the curve on every test in school. They scored 117.12 points against a projected 103.89 and beat their scoring projection for the fifth time this season, including the last four weeks in a row.
  • Balance Sheets had their largest margin of victory so far this year at 26.14 points.
  • We don't condone cheating, but this group of wide receivers might want to spray Stickum on their gloves. The 6.10 total points by the WRs on Balance Sheets was their lowest WR output this season.
  • Just because Robert Horry has seven NBA championship rings, doesn't mean he's one of the greats. Despite being on the winning team, Giovani Bernard scored 7.90 points against a projected 10.79 and has now underachieved in three straight games.
  • The win was the third in a row for Balance Sheets.

Fantasy MasterpiecesWeek 10

Chad Johnson CIN - WR 2006 vs. San Diego 11 catches, 260 receiving yards, 2 TDs Before he changed his name to the incorrect Spanish translation of his jersey number (85), Chad Johnson was a perennial Pro Bowler, named to the Pro Bowl squad five consecutive seasons from ’03 to ’07.

The pinnacle of this impressive run was a two-week stretch in the middle of the ’06 season, starting with a 260-yard, 2 TD dismantling of the Chargers secondary in Week 10. The next week, Johnson would nearly equal his 38-point fantasy output by serving up a 190-yard, 3 TD beat down on the Saints. The two weeks stand as the all-time greatest fantasy performance by a wide receiver in back-to-back contests.
Each week of the season we will bring you the top fantasy football performances of the past 10+ years for that week.
