    • Polk -- not Shady -- gets 1st RB practice rep
According to CSN Philly's Reuben Frank, Chris Polk received the first running back rep at Eagles practice on Wednesday, ahead of LeSean McCoy.

Advice: McCoy laughed off the running back order following the practice, and Frank concedes it's "impossible to tell" if it actually meant anything. McCoy was reportedly "on the sideline while Polk worked with the first unit." Reporters were only able to view two practice reps before the session was closed to media. "We rotate all the time," McCoy said Wednesday afternoon. "(RBs coach) Duce (Staley) pulled me out. (Darren) Sproles wasn't in either." The Eagles are preparing to play the Redskins on Saturday evening. When Philly and Washington played earlier this year, McCoy managed 22 yards on 19 carries. Rotoworld.com

    • Bears bench Cutler, Clausen to start Week 16
ESPN's Adam Schefter reports the Bears will start Jimmy Clausen over Jay Cutler in Week 16 against the Lions.

Advice: The Bears are benching Cutler just 14 starts into his seven-year, $127 million extension. Per NFL Network's Mike Silver, coach Marc Trestman felt he could no longer start Cutler "simply to justify a contract" when his on-field play was so poor. Cutler regressed in his second season in Trestman's offense, leading the NFL in turnovers (24). Owed a fully guaranteed $15.5 million next year, the Bears' only option is to trade Cutler this offseason if they want to move on from him. Chicago would absorb $19 million in dead money by releasing Cutler before 2016. Rotoworld.com

It's interesting Allen and the Chargers are apparently so optimistic about an injury that typically sidelines players for the better part of two months, but we strongly suspect he's played his final snap of the 2014-15 campaign. "It’s hard when you don’t know for sure if a guy is going to play," Koetter said. "We kind of have to have a contingency both ways. Keenan Allen has been diagnosed with a broken collarbone in addition to his ankle injury, and is likely done for the regular season.

Advice: Strangely, the Chargers have yet to formally rule Allen for Week 16, but barring a Bolts Super Bowl run, he's almost certainly played his final snap of the 2014-15 season. It appears the only reason for hope is that Allen briefly played through the injury in Week 15. It's a massive blow for the Chargers' scuffling offense, as Allen had really come on of late, catching 49 passes over his past eight games. He'll close the book on his second regular season the owner of a 77/783/4 line. Not a bad year, but a major downgrade from Allen's rookie campaign. He averaged just 10.2 yards per catch after posting a 14.7 mark in 2013. Nevertheless, Allen is only 22, and an elite route runner. He remains a strong hold as a WR2 in dynasty leagues. Rotoworld.com

Jay Cutler completed 17-of-31 passes for 194 yards, two touchdowns, and three interceptions in the Bears' 31-15, Week 15 loss to the Saints on Monday night.

Advice: The matchup couldn't have been much better for Cutler, but he predictably went all DGAF on us and took seven sacks, missed open receivers, and turned the ball over another three times. Both of his touchdowns came late in the fourth quarter. He hooked up with Marquess Wilson for a one-yard score to bring the score to 24-8, and then found Alshon Jeffery for the garbagiest of garbage-time touchdowns from seven yards out with 30 ticks left on the clock. Smith is consistently wrong with his public-injury proclamations. Jones didn't appear particularly close to suiting up against the Steelers, but he was always going to be up against it on a short week. • LeSean McCoy has 3 TDs vultured in Week 15
LeSean McCoy rushed 16 times for 64 yards in Sunday night's Week 15 loss to Dallas.

Advice: McCoy got only 17 touches with the Eagles playing from behind most of the game. He had two touchdowns vultured by Chris Polk, and lost a third score to Darren Sproles at the one-yard line. McCoy has managed just 114 yards on 33 carries over the last two weeks. He'll be a lower-end RB1 for Week 16 against Washington. Rotoworld.com

    • Carlos Hyde says back, not ankle, is hurt
Carlos Hyde said he injured his back, not his ankle, in Sunday's loss at Seattle.

Advice: Hyde went down awkwardly in the third quarter and didn't return. Although it was announced as a right ankle issue, the rookie back said his back is the one he was going for X-rays on. With Frank Gore in the concussion protocol, it's a situation worth monitoring. Rotoworld.com

    • Coaches were coddling Jamaal Charles
Jamaal Charles expressed frustration with the coaches coddling him in Sunday's win over the Raiders.

Advice: Charles admitted his knee and ankle bothered him slightly during the game, but nothing that he couldn't play very effectively through. He seemed most frustrated by the coaches yanking him after a big collision near the goal-line. Knile Davis scored on the very next play. "I wanted to play the game. These injuries this year have been killing me this year. It's part of the game but I've got to get over it," said Charles, who finished with 12 carries for 52 yards. Rotoworld.com

    • Delanie Walker saves his fantasy day late
Delanie Walker caught 4-of-5 targets for 93 yards Week 15 against the Jets.

Advice: Walker entered the fourth quarter with two catches for nine yards. He then made two big catches to set the Titans up at the Jets 22 on the second to last drive of the, and was credited with 33 yards on a hook and lateral play to close out the game. Walker is a dangerous weapon in the passing game, but the Titans do not have the offensive personnel to get him the ball. He will be a low-end TE1 Week 16 against the Jaguars. Rotoworld.com

T.Y. Hilton tweaked his hamstring during Sunday's win over the Texans.

Advice: We didn't notice it during the game and Hilton appeared to finish without missing any time. But he was very quiet after a three-catch first quarter, perhaps limited by this hamstring tweak. When asked if he will be OK afterward, Hilton said, "I hope so. I'll know more after I go get an MRI and talk with the doctors." The Colts have a tasty matchup at Dallas in Week 16. If Hilton rests, Donte Moncrief would get a big boost in both snaps and target volume. Rotoworld.com

Percy Harvin rushed once for 10 yards and was held without a catch Week 15 against the Titans.

Advice: Harvin did not appear to be bothered by his ankle injury. He looked fine on the 10-yard rush and had a good kickoff return in the third quarter. He could not haul in any of his three targets, though, and was a non-factor all game. Harvin has been inconsistent in his time with the Jets and cannot be trusted as anything more than a WR4 Week 16 against the Patriots. Rotoworld.com

Greg Jennings secured 3-of-5 targets for 43 yards and a touchdown in the Vikings' Week 15 loss to the Lions.

Advice: Jennings' second-quarter TD catch from eight yards out gave the Vikings a 14-0 lead. He continued to run possession routes and operate as a chain mover for Teddy Bridgewater. Jennings is still a useful real-life NFL receiver, but his fantasy value is adversely affected by a rookie quarterback and his lack of big-play ability. Advice: Although Rivers somehow didn't get sacked, he was under heavy pressure all day and things got even worse when Keenan Allen went down with an ankle injury. It's yet another reminder of how good this Broncos defense can be with Aqib Talib and Chris Harris at corner. Rivers' season has gone in the tank since a red hot first month and a half. Advice: Hyde got rolled up in ugly fashion in the fourth quarter, but was able to hobble off the field under his own power. He appeared to have a chance to return, but was ruled out with a little over five minutes remaining. Hyde was running well before going down, taking the rock six times for 55 yards. Five of Hyde's six carries went for at least five yards. With Frank Gore (concussion) also sidelined, FB Bruce Miller and Alfonso Smith are the next men up on the depth chart. Rotoworld.com

Advice: Gore went down throwing a vicious block late in the first half. He attempted to stagger off the field under his own power, but collapsed in a heap before making it to the sideline. Concerned players from both teams huddled around him before he was helped off the field. Gore was running reasonably well before going down, taking the rock 11 times for 29 yards and a touchdown. Advice: Vereen continued to disappoint as a receiving threat, but surprisingly vultured a three-yard score from LeGarrette Blount in the second quarter. White worked mostly against CB Antwon Blake, who was filling in for Ike Taylor on Sunday. White's score came from four yards away in the fourth quarter. Advice: Hopkins saw a season-high 13 targets, a predictable number once Andre Johnson (concussion) was ruled out. No other Texan had more than four targets. The problem was that Hopkins saw Vontae Davis' side too often and Tom Savage was overwhelmed in a relief role. A Week 16 matchup against the Ravens is tasty on paper, but Johnson's likely return and Savage's woes make Hopkins a risky WR3 play despite Sunday's volume. Rotoworld.com

Advice: He's now gone over 100 total yards in seven straight games. Amid concerns regarding his Week 14 hip bruise, Lacy got the start and dominated Buffalo's defense in the early going. By the 14:14 mark in the second quarter, he had eight rushes for 72 yards and a touchdown. Blake Bortles completed 21-of-37 passes for 210 yards, zero touchdowns, and one interception in the Jaguars' 20-12, Week 15 loss to the Ravens.

Advice: Bortles took eight sacks and has been dropped for 46 of them in 11 starts. The Jaguars' best chance at finding the end zone came when they got down to the nine-yard line, but Bortles took back-to-back sacks back to around the 30 and settled for a field goal. Harry Douglas caught 10 passes for 131 yards in the Falcons' 27-20, Week 15 loss to the Steelers.

Advice: Drawing the start in place of an injured Julio Jones (hip) opposite a banged up Roddy White, Douglas was targeted a game-high 14 times. His longest gain went fro 41 yards on a screen pass to the left that set the Falcons up inside the 10-yard line. White eventually scored from four yards out a couple plays later. Douglas has shown time and again that he's a quality option if either Jones or White doesn't play. Jamaal Charles (ankle) participated in Friday's practice and looked "pretty good" in the workout.

Advice: The best news is Charles was able to string together consecutive practices after taking Wednesday off, indicating his ankle responded well to stress. The cherry on top is that Charles impressed reporters in Friday's session. Coach Andy Reid confirmed Friday afternoon Charles will play on Sunday. He's a locked-in top-four running back start in the fantasy semifinals against Oakland. Rotoworld.com

He faces a tough run defense at less than 100 percent and in a likely time split. Lacy is our No. 10 running back for fantasy semifinals week. Rotoworld.com

Bears OC Aaron Kromer admitted to the team on Monday that he was an anonymous source in a recent NFL Network report criticizing Jay Cutler.

Advice: That would be Ian Rapoport's "serious buyer's remorse" report, though a "tearful" Kromer "adamantly denied" making the buyer's remorse comments. Whatever Kromer did or didn't exactly say, it's a stunning admission, and indicative of Raiders/Redskins-level dysfunction in Chicago. It's appearing less and less likely that coach Marc Trestman is going to keep his job. Not only has his defense collapsed, but his once-prolific offense has bordered on unwatchable many times over the past 5-6 weeks. Larry Fitzgerald caught 7-of-10 targets for 30 yards in the Cardinals' Week 15 win over the Rams.

Advice: He also had a 27-yard catch called back by holding. The seven grabs were Fitz's most in four games, but he was limited to catching dinks and dunks as coach Bruce Arians tried to mask Drew Stanton and Ryan Lindley's deficiencies. Fitz wasn't allowed to do work after the catch by a sound-tackling Rams defense. Fitz looked healthy tonight, and now has 10 days to heal up for Week 16, but will remain off the WR3 radar against the Seahawks' Legion of Boom. Rotoworld.com

Lacy said there are hurdles he must clear, and that he doesn't want to put the Pack at a disadvantage if he "can't play effectively." Lacy said he has "no idea" if he'd be at risk of further injury if he played. It's still quite possible the Pack are simply doing everything they can to limit Lacy's reps on a short week, but it's become a situation that calls for a back-up plan. All in all, it's good news, but Smith has proven utterly worthless with his injury updates. He doesn't deal in the truth with the media. Per Werder, the nature of Newton's injuries appear to be "scrapes and bruises." It's excellent news considering how smashed up Newton's truck was. Early reports suggest Newton was blindsided by a motorist who didn't see a stop sign. • Marc Trestman throws weight behind Jay Cutler
Speaking Monday, Bears coach Marc Trestman insisted the team has "never wavered" on Jay Cutler as its starting quarterback.

Advice: Trestman's endorsement comes one day after NFL Network reported the Bears were having "serious buyer's remorse" after giving Cutler a seven-year, $126.7 million deal in January. Cutler is on pace for 4,241 yards, and a new career-best 32 scores, but his play has gone in the gutter during the second half of the season. The majority of his numbers have been amassed in garbage time, with Cutler mostly limited to dinking and dunking with games still in doubt. Cutler turns 32 in April. Rotoworld.com

    • DeAngelo Williams listed as day to day
Coach Ron Rivera said Monday DeAngelo Williams (hand) is "day by day."

Advice: Williams is dealing with a fractured bone at the base of his middle finger. For now, we'll consider him questionable for Week 15. Of course, the Panthers would be far better off sitting down Williams and just riding Jonathan Stewart, who has quietly been playing at an elite level all season. He finally got to spread his wings against the Saints Sunday and dropped a 20-155-1 line. Rivera maddeningly declined to name Stewart his starter going forward Monday, instead saying it's his preference to wait. Rotoworld.com

    • Keenan Allen gets Revis treatment
Keenan Allen caught two passes for three yards in Sunday night's Week 14 loss to the Patriots.

Advice: Allen was shut down by Darrelle Revis. He had zero targets in first half, and didn't make his first catch until late in the third quarter. It was a step back coming off two straight 100-yard games. Allen will have another tough matchup against Broncos CB Chris Harris in Week 15. Rotoworld.com

    • Shane Vereen does little against Chargers
Shane Vereen had three catches for 30 yards in the Patriots' Week 14 win over the Chargers.

Advice: He got just one carry behind LeGarrette Blount. Vereen saw a red-zone target in the second quarter, but couldn't come down with the catch. He won't be more than a game-flow dependent RB3 for Week 15 against the Dolphins. Rotoworld.com

    • Philip Rivers struggles in loss to Patriots
Philip Rivers completed 20-of-33 passes for 189 yards, one touchdown, and an interception in Sunday night's Week 14 loss to the Patriots.

Advice: It was another bad game from Rivers, who has a 6:6 TD/INT ratio over the last five weeks. His only touchdown was a 15-yard fade to Malcom Floyd in the corner of the end-zone. The Patriots shut down Keenan Allen with Darrelle Revis, leaving Rivers to check down to Donald Brown and Antonio Gates. Rivers will be just a low-end QB1 for Week 15 against the Broncos.
