  • Dennis Pitta (hip) likely to undergo surgery
The Baltimore Sun reports Dennis Pitta had his dislocated hip "popped back in" after being sedated on Sunday evening, and is expected to undergo surgery.

Advice: Pitta also has a fracture. Underscoring the severity of the situation, Pitta has remained in Cleveland. There hasn't been official word, but Pitta is almost certainly done for the season, leaving Owen Daniels as the Ravens' starting tight end. If you're already in a bye-week crunch, Pitta can be safely dropped. Hopefully his career isn't in danger, but it's a possibility. Rotoworld.com

FOX Sports reports Vincent Jackson suffered a "small fracture in his wrist" during last week's 56-14 loss to the Falcons, but plans to play through it.

Advice: Jackson apparently suffered the injury on the Bucs' second series, which was before either of his two catches. It's obviously far from ideal, but it shouldn't be an issue that knocks V-Jax any farther down the fantasy ranks. With Mike Glennon likely taking over for Josh McCown (thumb) in Week 4, Jackson is a boom-or-bust WR2. Rotoworld.com

Frank Gore told reporters he was too upset to talk following Sunday's loss to the Cardinals.

Advice: Gore finished with 10 yards on six carries and got just one carry in the second half as the 49ers went pass-heavy. It's unclear if he was upset about his lack of usage or about the loss that sunk the 49ers to 1-2. Either way, the meager carries were a result of not wanting to challenge the Cardinals' stout run defense. Expect Gore to be back around 11-15 touches against the Eagles in Week 4. Rotoworld.com

Jarrett Boykin dropped two more catchable balls in Sunday's loss to the Lions.

Advice: A red-zone drop in Week 2 is what got Davante Adams going initially and Boykin continued to struggle Sunday. Per the Green Bay Press-Gazette, "Aaron Rodgers' confidence in him as the No. 3 receiver has to be eroding." Note that Boykin played on 36-of-54 snaps against the Lions, while Adams was in on 35 snaps. Benjamin just missed coming down with a 20-yard touchdown in the first half, or he would have had an even bigger game. Frank Gore was held to 10 yards on six carries in the 49ers' Week 3 loss to the Cardinals.

Advice: Gore wasn't targeted in the passing game. Squaring off with a run defense that also had his number in 2013, Gore's 10 yards were his fewest since the 2011 season. Gore's fantasy owners were forced to watch in horror as rookie backup Carlos Hyde ripped off a six-yard score in the second quarter. Per the Baltimore Sun, the Ravens are concerned Pitta suffered a fracture, as well, something that can only be revealed based on testing. He will undergo an MRI shortly. Although bad quarterback play played a big part in V-Jax's inefficiency, at least one of his missed connections was a drop. Jackson has now wheezed to a 10/102/1 line through three games. • Eric Decker (hamstring) doesn't practice Wed.
Eric Decker (hamstring) did not practice Wednesday.

Advice: Decker stretched with the team and spent the rest of the practice off to the side doing agility drills and some light running under the supervision of trainers. Decker first injured his hamstring in training camp. The Jets have been quiet on their No. 1 receiver's status. Decker will be updated again on Thursday. Rotoworld.com

  • 'No doubt' Roddy White will play vs. Tampa
ESPN Falcons reporter Vaughn McClure says there's "no doubt" Roddy White (hamstring, questionable) will play Thursday night against the Bucs.

Advice: McClure has been on top of the Roddy White news all week. Although the 32-year-old hasn't practiced at all, there are no concerns about his availability for Week 3. White is a rock-solid WR2 even against Bucs LCB Alterraun Verner. Rotoworld.com

  • Marqise Lee still battling tightness in hammy
Marqise Lee (hamstring) was limited in Wednesday's practice.

Advice: Lee re-tweaked his hamstring on Wednesday after battling the soft-tissue issue last week. It's becoming a concern. Fortunately for the Jaguars, Cecil Shorts (hamstring) returned to practice Wednesday. Already behind Allen Hurns on the depth chart, Lee is in danger of being passed by Allen Robinson. Rotoworld.com

Jamaal Charles (ankle) did not practice Wednesday.

Advice: As expected. Charles is dealing with a high-ankle sprain, though it's believed to be of the mild variety. He's unlikely to suit up this week against the Dolphins. Knile Davis will have RB1/2 value as the Chiefs' every-down workhorse. Rotoworld.com

Roddy White (hamstring) is listed as questionable for Thursday night's Week 3 game against the Bucs.

Advice: White hasn't practiced at all this week, but all indications are that he'll suit up Thursday night. He isn't a player that needs to practice, especially on a short week. White will be a mid-range WR2 against Alterraun Verner and company. Rotoworld.com

  • Bradley frustrated with Marqise Lee, Jags WRs
Coach Gus Bradley expressed frustration with Marqise Lee and the Jaguars' young receivers.

Advice: Bradley said the whole receivers unit had "far too many" mental errors against the Redskins in Week 2. "Are we asking too much. Is there too much in the game plan?" Bradley said. "We're all in the NFL now. The demands we place on them, they have to be able to handle that." Bradley later singled out Lee as a player who needs to execute his assignment better. Allen Robinson missed the entire preseason. UDFA Allen Hurns knows the offense like the back of his hand. Once Cecil Shorts is healthy, we'd imagine he and Hurns are the starters. Rotoworld.com

  • Falcons not concerned about Roddy's status
The Falcons are not concerned about Roddy White's (hamstring) Week 3 status.

Advice: White didn't miss a snap in Sunday's loss. "It's not important for Roddy to practice,'' coach Mike Smith said after White sat out Tuesday's session. "We'd like for Roddy to practice, but it's all about getting Roddy ready on a short week." Even if White sits again on Wednesday, you won't have to sweat his status for Thursday's game against the Bucs. Rotoworld.com

  • Falcons hint Roddy White will play Thursday
Speaking after Tuesday's practice, Falcons coach Mike Smith "indicated" Roddy White (hamstring) will play in Thursday's game against the Bucs.

Advice: White missed Monday and Tuesday's practices, but it appears the Falcons are just trying to manage his reps on a short week. That being said, it's possible he could end up a game-time decision on Thursday. After struggling through an injury-plagued 2013, White has started out 2014 with a variety of nicks and bruises. With his status still up in the air, White should be considered a mid-range WR2 for Week 3. Rotoworld.com

Roddy White (hamstring) did not practice Tuesday.

Advice: It's a concern with the Falcons playing on a short week and White's availability remains up in the air for Thursday night's game against the Bucs. His status will be updated again on Wednesday when the Falcons release their official injury report. Owners can protect themselves by adding Harry Douglas, who would play every snap if White sits. • Rex Ryan noncommittal on Eric Decker
Jets coach Rex Ryan was vague Monday when asked if Eric Decker (hamstring) would play in Week 3.

Advice: The Jets face the Bears in their next game, Week 3 on Monday Night Football. "We don't know," said Ryan. "We'll see. Hopefully he'll be ready to roll on Monday." The long week helps, but our hope is the Jets don't push Decker to play if he's not near 100 percent. This is an aggravation of an August injury. Rotoworld.com

  • JC's injury 'doesn't look to be real severe'
Chiefs coach Andy Reid says Jamaal Charles' high-ankle sprain "doesn't look to be a real severe one."

Advice: "But it does have the component of a high-ankle sprain," Reid added in fluent coachspeak. Regardless of Reid's remarks, high-ankle sprains are multi-week injuries, and typically require at least a month's absence. If Charles can come back sooner, the Chiefs may have been stretching the definition of "high-ankle sprain," much like the Bills seemed to do with C.J. Spiller in 2013. Either way, fantasy owners should plan on being without Charles for at least the rest of September. Backup Knile Davis is this week's top waiver add. Rotoworld.com

  • Rivera: Benjamin's drops 'focus issues'
Panthers coach Ron Rivera called Kelvin Benjamin's Week 2 drops "focus issues."

Advice: Benjamin dropped three passes against the Lions. Beyond the obvious reasons, it's a concern because Benjamin struggled with drops at Florida State. With so little competition behind him, Benjamin remains locked in as the Panthers' No. 1 receiver, but is going to be inconsistent. Rotoworld.com

  • Eric Decker's hammy pull is an aggravation
The right hamstring Eric Decker injured during Sunday's loss at Green Bay is the same one that nagged him throughout training camp.

Advice: Recurring hamstring woes are major issues for wide receivers. Decker is headed for further testing on Monday to determine the severity, but this pull is believed to be more severe than his training camp one. If the ex-Bronco has to miss time, Geno Smith will have Jeremy Kerley and David Nelson as his top wideouts. The Jets host the Bears in Week 3. Rotoworld.com

Frank Gore rushed for 63 yards on 13 carries and a touchdown in Sunday night's Week 2 loss to the Bears.

Advice: He added two catches for 12 yards. Gore's touchdown came on an eight-yard counter run. He surprisingly saw just eight touches in the second half despite averaging 4.8 YPC. Gore lost a red-zone carry and some passing down work to Carlos Hyde, but remains the lead back. He'll be an RB2 for Week 3 against the Cardinals. Rotoworld.com

  • V-Jax snags four balls for 51 yards in loss
Vincent Jackson caught four passes for 51 yards in the Bucs' Week 2 loss to the Rams.

Advice: Jackson was targeted a team-high seven times. He did all of his damage on one drive, highlighting it with a leaping catch over the top of a Rams corner. Josh McCown needs to revert to his Chicago ways and simply throw it up to Jackson whenever there's nothing else. Jackson will need better play around him to post his regular WR2 numbers. • Jarrett Boykin falls behind Davante Adams
Jarrett Boykin caught one pass for six yards in Sunday's Week 2 win over the Jets.

Advice: This could be a death-sentence game for Boykin. He started in all three-wide sets, but committed a tough drop in the red-zone and began to lose snaps to rookie Davante Adams. When the dust settled, Adams impressed with 5-50-0 on seven targets and Boykin was at 1-6-0 on three targets. In a best-case scenario for Boykin, these two project to rotate now. Rotoworld.com

Marqise Lee caught two passes for 11 yards in Sunday's Week 2 loss at Washington.

Advice: Lee was the No. 2 wideout and his hamstring wasn't an issue. But Chad Henne got sacked an absurd 10 times and Lee only ended up with four targets. A possession receiver whose serviceable Week 1 line was buoyed by garbage time, Lee would be a weak WR4 even in a plus matchup like Week 3 against the Colts. Advice: Douglas' seven looks were third behind Julio Jones and Roddy White, which is how the Falcons hope to draw it up on a weekly basis. Douglas is firmly established as a low-end WR3, one who skews more toward WR4 status in non-PPR leagues. Rotoworld.com

Kelvin Benjamin caught 2-of-8 targets for 46 yards in the Panthers' Week 2 win over the Lions.

Advice: Benjamin had three drops, two of which were particularly egregious. It was an incredibly inefficient performance by the rookie, from who fantasy owners must expect ups and downs. Still, Benjamin tied for the team lead in targets and will continue to offer plenty of upside as a WR3 option when the Panthers take on the Steelers' weak defense next Sunday night. Rotoworld.com

LeGarrette Blount rushed three times for eight yards in the Steelers' Week 2 loss to the Ravens.

Advice: Foolishly, Blount also drew one target in the passing game, but failed to make an easy catch. He was out-touched 16-3 by Le'Veon Bell, and has now been out-touched 43-7 on the season. There's not even a pseudo-committee in Pittsburgh, let alone an actual one. Blount will likely vulture a touchdown every 2-3 weeks, but there's no fantasy value here aside from handcuff status. Dennis Pitta caught 3-of-4 targets for 30 yards in Baltimore's Week 2 win over the Steelers.

Advice: Pitta's fourth target was a narrowly-missed connection at the goal line. It was a frustrating evening for Pitta's fantasy owners, who likely watched in horror as Steve Smith drew 10 targets, and Owen Daniels vultured two touchdowns. It was just one of those nights for a player coming off a 10-catch Week 1. Pitta is still a safe TE1. Rotoworld.com

Advice: He also rushed twice for 10 yards. The beat goes on for Brown, who survived a concussion scare to get open seemingly at will. Brown now has 12 catches on 18 looks through the season's first two games, and has looked every bit the WR1 he was last season. He'll travel to Carolina in Week 3. Rotoworld.com
