    • Bills OC Roman: Manuel gets a clean slate
New Bills OC Greg Roman said he'll give E.J. Manuel "a very clean slate" as they head into the offseason.

Advice: "I definitely think he's done some very good things and displayed some good traits. I'd say we just have to get his level of consistency a little bit greater," Roman said. "What [he] might've been asked to do or done in the past is really not relevant to what we may or may not ask him to do." Those are the most glowing words we've heard on Manuel from the Bills since the season ended. Manuel isn't going to be handed anything. Top beat writer Joe Buscaglia expects the Bills to address quarterback in free agency and the draft. Rotoworld.com

    • Stevie Johnson expected to start in 2015?
The Sacramento Bee calls 49ers WR Stevie Johnson a "presumed starter" for 2015.

Advice: Michael Crabtree is a free agent and seems unlikely to re-sign with the 49ers. Brandon Lloyd is also headed for free agency, leaving Anquan Boldin and Johnson atop the depth chart. Johnson played just 305 snaps this past season, catching 35 balls for 435 yards and three touchdowns as the No. 3 receiver. Johnson is a crisp route runner with good hands, but the 49ers desperately need a field stretcher out wide. Johnson and Boldin are carbon-copy clones as possession receivers. Rotoworld.com

    • Packers unlikely to make offer to RFA Boykin
The Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel doesn't envision the Packers even making an offer to restricted free agent WR Jarrett Boykin.

Advice: Boykin entered the season as the Packers' clear No. 3 receiver, but got hurt and was passed by rookie Davante Adams and left in the dust. He played just 122 offensive snaps after Week 3. Even if the Packers can't re-sign free agent Randall Cobb, Boykin appears on his way out. He's a slow possession receiver. Rotoworld.com

    • Some within Cowboys like Joseph Randle
According to ESPN Dallas, there are people within the Cowboys who believe Joseph Randle can be a 1,400-yard rusher.

Advice: Those people are likely sharing a drink with Jerry Jones, who always looks at his players with rose-colored glasses. Randle is a decent back who averaged a whopping 6.73 YPC on his 51 carries in 2014, but he's nowhere near DeMarco Murray's skill level. There are also questions about Randle as a receiver and in pass pro. Still, he's a name to monitor closely (along with Ryan Williams and Lance Dunbar) as we wait to see if DeMarco bolts in free agency. Rotoworld.com

    • Teddy Bridgewater on track for leap forward
ESPN Vikings reporter Ben Goessling fully expects "bigger and better things" from Teddy Bridgewater in Year 2.

Advice: Bridgewater recorded the third-highest completion percentage (64.4) and seventh-highest passer rating (85.2) by a rookie in NFL history. He did it even though Cordarrelle Patterson was a liability, Kyle Rudolph was hurt, Adrian Peterson missed 15 games and he was learning Norv Turner's offense for the first time. Over the final six weeks of the season, Bridgewater was fantasy's No. 10 QB and he'll bring serious QB2 appeal heading into 2015 -- especially if the Vikings bring back Peterson. Rotoworld.com

    • T-Rich's suspension voids contract guarantees
Former agent Joel Corry confirms Trent Richardson's suspension voids the guarantees on his $3.18M 2015 base salary.

Advice: Richardson was suspended during the playoffs for conduct detrimental to the team. He'll likely file a grievance through the NFLPA, but if the suspension stands then the Colts can dump their inept running back without paying him the final year of his guaranteed rookie contract. It would be a tiny silver lining for the franchise, who gave the Browns a first-round pick to acquire Richardson early in the 2013 season. He's been outperformed badly by players named Boom Herron and Zurlon Tipton. Rotoworld.com

    • Bucs QB Mike Glennon could be trade bait?
Some around the league believe teams will be interested in trading for Bucs QB Mike Glennon.

Advice: Although Glennon was quietly effective as a rookie in 2013, the Lovie Smith regime never gave him much of a shot. Glennon started just five games in 2014, operating mostly as a backup to 35-year-old journeyman Josh McCown. Now the Bucs, likely to select a quarterback with the No. 1 overall pick, should be even more motivated to trade Glennon than they were last year. Perhaps a QB-desperate team like the Bills or Jets would be willing to part with a late-round pick. Glennon is under contract for just $687,188 in 2015. Rotoworld.com

    • Greg Olsen hasn't had extension talks yet
Greg Olsen said he hasn't had any substantial contract extension talks with the Panthers yet.

Advice: Olsen's deal is not a priority as he's signed through the 2015 season. It would also be silly for the Panthers to "buy high" right now as the tight end is coming off a career-best season at age 29. We wouldn't be surprised if the Panthers make Olsen play out 2015 as a contract-year player, ensuring he's highly motivated as the No. 2 pass-game weapon behind Kelvin Benjamin. Rotoworld.com

    • Corey Fuller wants to improve route-running
Lions WR Corey Fuller said his offseason goal is to improve his route-running.

Advice: Fuller, a former track star that is still raw as an NFL wideout, caught just 14 passes for 212 yards with one touchdown as an NFL sophomore. He's going to have to expand his route tree to separate from the likes of T.J. Jones, Ryan Broyles and Jeremy Ross. We're not expecting it to happen, leaving Fuller as a sub-package reserve once again in 2015. Rotoworld.com

    • Mark Ingram could be option for Cowboys
Bryan Broaddus of the Cowboys' official website thinks Mark Ingram could be an option to replace fellow impending free agent DeMarco Murray.

Advice: The chances of Murray re-signing with Dallas seem extremely long, as he should be following the cash. The Cowboys don't have the cash to line Murray's pockets. Ingram also won't be coming cheap, but he won't be as expensive as Murray. If Ingram lands in Dallas behind that offensive line and in OC Scott Linehan's scheme, he'd be flirting with RB1 numbers on a weekly basis. Ingram is likely to command $3-5 million per year on the open market after his breakout 2014. Rotoworld.com

Vernon Davis promises he will participate in the 49ers' offseason program.

Advice: Davis skipped almost all of the 49ers' offseason last year before turning in a career-worst season. Davis turns 31 years old later this week and it's fair to wonder if he's reached his decline phase. He failed to produce in the passing game last season and even seemed to hit a wall as a run blocker. Rotoworld.com

    • Report: Rams interested in trading for Foles
A source tells NJ.com that the Rams have interest in Nick Foles if the Eagles decide to trade him this offseason.

Advice: Foles is 14-4 as a starter over the last two seasons, but there's plenty of reason to believe he is not Chip Kelly's guy for the long haul. Kelly inherited Foles, he prefers a mobile quarterback, Foles regressed sharply as a thrower in Year 2 and the Eagles could be plotting a move up in the draft for Oregon QB Marcus Mariota. According to NJ.com, the QB-desperate Titans and Texans would also have interest in Foles, who has one year remaining on his rookie contract. The Rams have already said Sam Bradford (ACL surgery) will face competition in training camp. Rotoworld.com

    • Dontrelle Inman set to return cheaply
ESPN Chargers reporter Eric Williams confirms Dontrelle Inman is a good bet to stick on the 2015 roster.

Advice: Inman, a former CFL stud with plus size, really flashed over the last two games of the season (12-158-0). The Chargers have him at a meager $510,000 base salary for 2015, so he'll be back to compete for a role behind Keenan Allen and Malcom Floyd. Eddie Royal is a free agent. Rotoworld.com

    • Jimmy Graham now thinks he'll avoid surgery
Following Sunday's Pro Bowl, Jimmy Graham said he still believes he will avoid offseason shoulder surgery.

Advice: Graham looked healthy during the Pro Bowl, catching three passes for 30 yards with two touchdowns. "It made a big difference, just having some rest," he said. We still don't know the exact specifics of Graham's injury, but we do know it really limited his catch radius and role during a disappointing 85-889-10 season. He'll get a lot more rest before next season, setting up a potential bounce-back campaign in 2015. Rotoworld.com

    • Odell Beckham says his hammy never got right
Odell Beckham said the hamstring injury that plagued him last summer never fully healed.

Advice: Two tears in his right hamstring caused Beckham to miss all of the offseason program, all of training camp and the first four games of the season. Then he put on one of the best displays by a rookie wideout ever, going 91-1,305-12 in just 12 games. We find it very hard to believe that he did this at less than 100 percent, but that's what he's saying. "I should be good by training camp," Beckham said after catching five balls in the Pro Bowl. "The plan is to play at full strength next season, and I definitely hope to do it. I'm just looking forward to getting healthy." Rotoworld.com

Jimmy Graham said he's still considering offseason shoulder surgery.

Advice: Graham didn't miss any games due to his shoulder issue, but it noticeably limited his production in the second half. He reportedly plans to use the Pro Bowl to decide whether he'll need surgery. Graham had an 85/889/10 line in 2014. Rotoworld.com

Trent Richardson's suspension will extend to Week 1 of the 2015 season if he remains with the Colts.

Advice: The suspension was purportedly for both the AFC Championship Game and Super Bowl, but the Colts didn't make it to the Super Bowl. So T-Rich is technically suspended one more game. It's conceivable the Colts could use Richardson's suspension to free themselves from his 2015 guaranteed salary. The guarantees may void if Richardson's conduct was detrimental to the team. Colts GM Ryan Grigson declined to commit to Trent Richardson being back with the team in 2015.

Advice: This comes as a surprise to no one. Grigson also confirmed the Colts suspended Richardson for two games prior to the AFC Championship game loss to the Patriots because of "personal reasons." He wasn't going to play even if the Colts made it to the Super Bowl. Richardson is in real danger of losing his roster spot despite a fully-guaranteed $3.184 million salary. Impending free agent Mark Ingram said the Saints have informed him they'd like to re-sign him.

Advice: "They want me back, for sure," Ingram said. "I definitely want to stay with the Saints." The Saints may want Ingram back, but they're a poor bet to give him what he wants money-wise. With Khiry Robinson already in the fold at the minimum along with the Saints' poor cap situation, Ingram is a good bet to be playing in a different uniform. He'll likely seek $3-5 million per year. Jimmy Graham anticipates avoiding offseason shoulder surgery.

Advice: Graham battled a shoulder injury for the entire second half of the 2014 season, severely affecting his production. He wouldn't reveal the injury's specifics in a Thursday interview with reporters. Still only 28 years old, we suspect Graham has a few seasons left in him of top-three tight end production. Trent Richardson was reportedly suspended for Sunday's AFC Championship Game.

Advice: In other words, he wasn't just a healthy scratch. There's not much difference, of course, but it casts doubt on his claim that he missed Saturday's walk-through because of a family emergency. Advice: It appears Pagano is either buying into or going along with T-Rich's story that he missed Saturday's walk-through because of a family emergency. Either way, Sunday was Richardson's second straight healthy scratch. His time in Indy is likely at an end. I'm still at the hospital," he said Sunday. "I wouldn't purposely just miss walk-through." Richardson was a healthy scratch in the Divisional Round win at Denver. Advice: The Colts left him at home in Indianapolis instead of bringing him to New England for the AFC title game. He'll be inactive for the second consecutive game.
