  • Roberto Aguayo goes 6-for-6 Friday night
Bucs second-round K Roberto Aguayo converted on field goals of 48 yards, 21 yards, and 27 yards Friday night against the Browns.

Advice: He was also a perfect 3-for-3 on extra point attempts. Aguayo has had a rough go since the Bucs laughably traded up for him in the second round, so he needed this strong performance to get back on track. It is not Aguayo's fault the Bucs spent so much to get him, but he will likely have to cope with unrealistic expectations for at least the next several seasons. Rotoworld.com Saturday, 6:04 am

  • Koetter thinks Aguayo's struggles are mental
Bucs coach Dirk Koetter believes second-round K Roberto Aguayo's struggles are mental.

Advice: "I think [the struggles are mental] and I think he believes that," Koetter said. "We've talked to him. He knows what he has to do." The best kicker in the nation throughout his college career, a mental block is the only reason for Aguayo to be struggling as much as he is. The embattled kicker missed three more kicks in practice Tuesday, but Koetter said the team is not yet looking to bring in competition. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 9:36 am

  • Bucs rookie K Aguayo says confidence is down
Bucs second-round K Roberto Aguayo admits his confidence is shaken "a little bit" after missing two field goals and an extra point through two preseason games.

Advice: Aguayo is seeking outside help, conversing with longtime NFL K Ryan Longwell, ex-Bucs special teams coach Bill Miller, and a "mental coach." Aguayo never missed a field goal attempt under 40 yards in college, but has missed from 32 and 49 this summer. Aguayo should be fine, but the early returns on the trade up into the second round by GM Jason Licht aren't positive. Rotoworld.com Monday, 4:13 pm

  • Giants sign K Randy Bullock
Giants signed K Randy Bullock, formerly of the Jets.

Advice: Bullock bounced between the Texans and Jets last year, ultimately replacing then-injured Nick Folk. Staying in New York with the NFC's version, Bullock will have a chance to kick for the G-Men during Josh Brown's one-game ban. Rotoworld.com Monday, 1:55 pm

  • Randy Bullock working out for Giants
Free agent K Randy Bullock will work out for the Giants.

Advice: New York also brought in Garrett Hartley for a workout on Monday. With Josh Brown suspended Week 1, the Giants are looking for a veteran option. Bullock converted 19-of-23 field goals in 11 games with the Texans and Jets last season. Rotoworld.com Monday, 10:20 am

  • Caleb Sturgis back at practice Monday
Eagles K Caleb Sturgis (concussion) returned to practice Monday.

Advice: Sturgis suffered a concussion after getting hit in the head by a ball during warmups before last week's preseason game. Now healthy, he will resume his competition with Cody Parkey. Rotoworld.com Monday, 10:07 am

  • Nick Novak in NFL concussion protocol
Texans K Nick Novak is in the NFL's concussion protocol.

Advice: This is our second kicker concussion of the preseason after Eagles K Caleb Sturgis suffered one when a football hit him in the head during pregame warmups on Thursday night. Camp leg "Ka'imi Fairbairn" (quad) is also banged up. Rotoworld.com Aug 21, 12:23 pm

  • Roberto Aguayo struggling in preseason play
Buccaneers second-round K Roberto Aguayo has missed two field goals and an extra point through two preseason games.

Advice: In a controversial decision, the Bucs traded up to draft Aguayo in the second round of this year's draft, making him the earliest kicker to go since Mike Nugent in 2005. So far he's made just 3-of-5 field goals with misses from 32 and 49 yards out. "I wouldn't say [I'm] worried," said coach Dirk Koetter. "But this is the NFL, man. They're paid to make kicks. He knows it and I know it—everybody knows it." Aguayo was a three-time All-American at Florida State and should be able to turn things around despite getting off to a sluggish start. • Falcons add Shayne Graham, cut Nick Rose
    Falcons signed K Shayne Graham.

Advice: Nick Rose, who missed a field goal Thursday night, was waived in a corresponding move. Graham played five games with the Falcons last season, converting on 11-of-13 attempts and all eight extra points. With Matt Bryant dealing with some leg tightness, Graham could handle kicking duties the rest of the preseason. Rotoworld.com Aug 20, 12:30 pm

  • Ex-wife: Josh Brown was physical many times
Suspended Giants K Josh Brown's ex-wife said Brown had been physically violent with her more than 20 times.

Advice: Brown was given a one-game suspension earlier this week due to a May 2015 incident. But Brown's ex-wife said it wasn't a one-time deal. It's fair to wonder if the Giants will detach themselves from this and simply cut Brown. Rotoworld.com Aug 19, 6:49 am
