When the draft countdown clock hit zero, the GM of Ashley's Team put their game face on. Firing on all cylinders from the eighth spot in the draft, they put together a team that's projected to finish first in Yahoo Public 780720 League with a record of 11-3-0 (1,360 points). With five WRs on the roster, Ashley's Team loaded up on solid pass catchers; their WRs are projected to average 148 points this season, close to the league average of 141. They landed one of the highest-scoring TE duos in the league, as they have Rob Gronkowski and Delanie Walker on their team.
Week 10 would be a good opportunity for Ashley's Team to take a yoga retreat, and who knows, having that flexibility may come in handy for the “stretch” run. They have four players and the most projected fantasy points on bye that week. Looking at the season as a whole, they have a harder-than-average slate. Along with the fifth-most grueling overall schedule, both the first four games and last four games of the season are about league-average difficulty for Ashley's Team.
On the Rise
Ashley's Team hopes to break through this season, led by four players who are projected to significantly exceed their fantasy points from last season.
Defense Wins Championships?
Ashley's Team chose to go with two DEFs instead of loading up at other spots.
A Pair of Proven Winners
Ashley's Team has a couple of fantasy MVPs in their lineup. Last season, two of their players (Demaryius Thomas and Matthew Stafford) finished among the top-20 players that were on the most first-place fantasy teams.
A Versatile Combination
Shane Vereen can hurt opponents with his hands as well as his feet. He ranks first among RBs in projected receiving yards with 639.
The Power of Persuasion
- D. Thomas, WR
- Round 1, Pick 8
Now would be a reasonable time for Ashley's Team to encourage the Yahoo Public 780720 League to increase the value of receptions. They grabbed Demaryius Thomas and his 106 projected catches (ranked second in the NFL).
Feed Thy Beast
- Toby Gerhart, RB
- Round 3, Pick 28
Toby Gerhart will get the ball early and often, projected to finish ninth in the league with 288 touches.
On a Scale of 1 to America
- Victor Cruz, WR
- Round 4, Pick 33
How free will Victor Cruz get in the secondary? He's projected to put up 1,189 receiving yards this year.
Haters Gonna Hate
- Rob Gronkowski, TE
- Round 5, Pick 48
The rest of Yahoo Public 780720 League overlooked a gem, and Ashley's Team made the swaggiest pick of the round by grabbing Rob Gronkowski.
Do You Know if Matthew Stafford is Religious?
- M. Stafford, QB
- Round 6, Pick 53
With 310 projected points, Ashley's Team is hoping Stafford will be the answer to their prayers.
If Ashley's Team wants to upgrade, DEF and RB are areas they could go after first.

How We Grade
Draft grades are based strictly on teams' draft performances. This is calculated by counting the number of fantasy points teams are projected to score over the course of the season using their optimal line-ups. The grades do not take schedule into account. Because of bye weeks and other variables it is possible to earn a high grade yet be projected to finish in the middle of the pack. The opposite is also true. Bottom line: Fantasy Football is like the real game. You can draft the greatest talent in the world but you still need to manage your team every week to get the most out of that talent. As a wise man once said, "On any given Sunday..."
