  • Rashad Jennings' 'goal' is to return Week 10
Rashad Jennings (knee) said the "goal" is to be cleared to play Week 10 against the Seahawks.

Advice: Jennings has already been ruled out for Monday night's Week 9 tilt with the Colts. He just began running and jogging earlier this week, but hopes to reach the point of planting and cutting on his sprained MCL at some point next week. We'd consider Jennings highly questionable for Week 10 at this point. Week 11 against the 49ers seems more realistic. Andre Williams will start Monday. Rotoworld.com

  • Brandon Williams catches six-yard pass
Panthers TE Brandon Williams caught a six-yard pass in Carolina's Week 9 loss to the Saints.

Advice: The grab was originally a 12-yard touchdown, but Williams ended up getting ruled down by contact midway through his run. Williams is a high-upside reserve, but has just four total catches this season. His fantasy time doesn't appear to be coming any time soon. Rotoworld.com

Jerricho Cotchery caught 2-of-5 targets for 59 yards in Carolina's Week 9 loss to the Saints.

Advice: Cotchery could have had a third grab, but let a deep reception get knocked out of his hands as he took a huge shot to the back on an under-thrown ball. A world-class touchdown vulture for the Steelers in 2013, Cotchery has yet to score this season. Rotoworld.com

Travaris Cadet rushed twice for one yard in New Orleans' Week 9 win over the Panthers, adding three catches for an additional 39 yards.

Advice: Not the night FLEX night streamers had in mind, though it wasn't a total disaster for PPR purposes. The question now for Cadet's middling RB3 value is if Pierre Thomas (shoulder) will be back for Week 10. Cadet is far from a must hold if you're in a roster bind. Rotoworld.com

Kenny Stills caught 5-of-8 targets for 72 yards in New Orleans' Week 9 win over the Panthers.

Advice: Stills could have had an even-bigger night, but committed a couple of drops. He also tweaked his groin, but played through a "probable" return tag. Stills is coming off one of the better stretches of his NFL career, with 14 grabs for 232 yards and a touchdown over his past three games. He's on pace for 51/799/2 at the season's halfway point after missing Week 1. He's a high-risk, high-reward WR4. Rotoworld.com

Advice: Another quiet night for Drew Brees' security blanket, who is on pace for a modest 56/888/2 at the season's halfway point. Colston closed strong in 2013, but that may not be in the cards this season with Brandin Cooks fighting for targets over the middle of the field. Colston is a Reggie Wayne-esque WR3. Rotoworld.com

  • Brandin Cooks held to three catches in win
Brandin Cooks caught 3-of-3 targets for 38 yards in the Saints' Week 9 win over the Panthers.

Advice: It was a disappointing night coming off Cooks' 6/94/1 Week 8, especially since he seemed to be finding the soft spots in Carolina's secondary. Either way, Drew Brees was spreading the ball around, finding eight different receivers. Cooks has weekly blow-up potential, but his season-long upside seems capped by the Saints' spread-the-wealth passing attack. With half his rookie year now in the books, Cooks is on pace for 86/820/4 four as a receiver, and 136 additional yards as a rusher. He's a boom-or-bust WR3. Rotoworld.com

Greg Olsen caught 3-of-4 targets for 30 yards in Carolina's Week 9 loss to the Saints.

Advice: Olsen's missed connection was the result of an inaccurate throw from Cam Newton. Olsen has just four catches for 46 yards over his past two games, but is still on pace for 90/1,078/10 at the season's halfway point. A 10-day rest for Week 10 should do Olsen and the Panthers' offense some good. He remains locked in as a top-five tight end. Rotoworld.com

Rotating with DeAngelo Williams, Jonathan Stewart rushed eight times for 46 yards in Carolina's Week 9 loss to the Saints.

Advice: D-Will got the "start," but out-touched Stewart just 9-8. Stewart out-rushed Williams 46-20, but D-Will finished with 50 total yards thanks to a 30-yard reception. As feared, the duo formed a value-draining committee, with neither back being allowed to get into a rhythm. It's a shame with Stewart coming off one of his better games in recent memory in Week 8. Kelvin Benjamin caught just 2-of-10 targets for 18 yards in Carolina's Week 9 loss to the Saints.

Advice: A lot of the blame for Benjamin's quiet night rests on the inaccurate arm of Cam Newton, but Benjamin straight up dropped a ball in the end zone for the second-consecutive week. He also committed a costly holding penalty that wiped out a third quarter first-down run from Jonathan Stewart. Benjamin flashes jaw-dropping physical talent every Sunday (or Thursday), but has had truly abysmal hands through the first nine games of his NFL career. He's a boom-or-bust WR2. Rotoworld.com

Jimmy Graham caught 7-of-7 targets for 83 yards and a touchdown in New Orleans' Week 9 win over the Panthers.

Advice: Both the catches and yards were Graham's most since Week 4. The nice night came despite the fact that Graham appeared to tweak his troublesome shoulder multiple times, though he never checked out of the game. Graham beat blanket coverage from CB Melvin White on his one-yard score, and also dealt with supremely-physical attention from LB Thomas Davis. With half the season now in the books, Graham is on pace for 92/1,036/10 despite playing at less than 100 percent for the better part of a month. The yardage rate should pick up. Rotoworld.com

"This is the first time I've ever felt this type of frustration, but there's nothing I can really do about it right now," Johnson said. Averaging just eight touches over his past five games, Johnson is managing a modest 4.0 yards per carry this season. Considering his usage, that number should be much higher. The Cincinnati Enquirer's Richard Skinner wrote on Twitter Wednesday that Giovani Bernard has a "hip pointer" and his clavicle is "bothering him," and Bernard "could miss Sunday('s)" game against the Jaguars.

Advice: The clavicle is the collarbone. We've known about that injury for a few weeks. The hip pointer is what kept Bernard out for the final 7-8 minutes of last week's win over Baltimore. The Bengals play the Browns on Thursday Night Football in Week 10, so it's conceivable that they will consider holding him out of Sunday's game in an effort to get him back for a key divisional matchup with 4-3 Cleveland. • Romo's back injury not related to 2013 issue
Speaking at Tuesday's presser, Cowboys coach Jason Garrett said Tony Romo's back injury is not related to the back issue that ended his 2013 season and required surgery.

Advice: "It appears to be a separate injury, not related to what he had last year," were Garrett's exact words. It's obviously encouraging news, but the Cowboys are still awaiting Romo's MRI results. It's not a slam dunk that he'll be ready for Week 9 despite returning to Monday's loss to the Redskins. We should have a much firmer idea of Romo's status 24 hours from now. Rotoworld.com

  • Jordan Cameron in doubt for next two games
Jordan Cameron's (concussion) status for the next two games is in doubt.

Advice: Cameron sustained his third concussion since 2012 in Sunday's win when he was drilled illegally by Raiders safety Brandian Ross. He's going to struggle to gain clearance for this week and then the Browns play the Thursday game in Week 10. "The league, as they should be, is very deliberate with the (concussion) protocol," said coach Mike Pettine Tuesday. • Jordan Cameron's status very shaky
ESPN Cleveland suggests the addition of TE Ryan Taylor means Jordan Cameron (concussion) could be out more than one game.

Advice: The concussion Cameron sustained on Sunday is his third since the 2012 season. His first one caused him to miss two games and the one he sustained last year kept him out of one game. Of course, the more concussions a player suffers, the tougher it can be for him to get cleared. Cameron owners need to be making other plans right now. Rotoworld.com

Rashad Jennings (knee) ran Monday for the first time since his MCL sprain.

Advice: Jennings' sprain has proven to be more serious than originally anticipated. • Cowboys confident Romo just has a contusion
ESPN's Ed Werder confirms the Cowboys seem confident Tony Romo only suffered a muscle contusion during Monday night's loss to the Redskins.

Advice: Romo took a direct hit to the area where his back was twice surgically repaired, but that's not how you injure a disc. He'll have an MRI Tuesday morning to confirm that he just has a bruise near the site of the surgeries, leaving the main concerns as pain tolerance and functional ability. Romo is sure to be very sore this week and will likely need injections in the short-term to keep playing. He said late Monday night that since he was able to come back into Monday's game, he believes he'll be able to play against the Cardinals in Week 9. Rotoworld.com

  • Romo hurts back, throws for 209 yards in loss
Tony Romo completed 17-of-28 passes for 209 yards, one touchdown, and zero interceptions in the Cowboys' Week 8 overtime loss to the Redskins.

Advice: The statistical result doesn't matter here. Romo's back is the chief concern. Redskins DC Jim Haslett was blitzing Romo as much as he could, and ILB Keenan Robinson hit home unblocked on a third-quarter sack with his knee drilling Romo in the back on the play. Romo missed two possessions before returning late in the fourth quarter. He didn't look like himself, getting sacked and fumbling on his first dropback before throwing a should-be interception on his first pass back. Romo was probably hopped up on pain killers, so his back is going to be something to watch on a short week before hosting the Cardinals. Coach Jason Garrett said after the game that Romo has a "back contusion," and will be looked at again in the morning. Rotoworld.com

Tony Romo returned late in the fourth quarter of Monday night's Week 8 game against the Redskins after exiting in the third quarter with a back injury.

Advice: Romo took a knee to the back from Redskins ILB Keenan Robinson on a third-quarter sack. He was escorted to the locker room after a two-minute stay on the Jerry World turf. On his second play back in the game, Romo was drilled for another sack. The 6-1 Cowboys are playing with fire here after Romo practically begged to go back into the game. To this point in the year, Geno has made eight starts, completing 56.2 percent of his passes with an anemic 5.9 YPA -- down a full yard from his rookie season. The Jets have yet to decide who will be their Week 9 quarterback.

Advice: The players have "no idea" who will be under center against the Chiefs. This is being passed off as revelatory amongst the Jets media, but it's really not a surprise. There's no reason for coach Rex Ryan to rush a decision after Sunday's embarrassing loss. Geno Smith was extremely ineffective, but Michael Vick could scarcely be considered better. Smith will likely sit out or earn a "limited" tag on Wednesday before trying to ramp up on Thursday. The good news is, Smith suffered the injury in the first half on Sunday, and played through it in the second. The Seahawks chose to use Richard Sherman in shadow coverage on Kelvin Benjamin, thus allowing their safeties to double up on Olsen. This week, Graham was a major part of the gameplan as he posted a 5-59-1 line on six targets. Most importantly, he appeared to emerge without setbacks once again. Advice: Bernard didn't play in the final eight minutes. Neither Bernard nor coach Marvin Lewis was even asked about the injury, suggesting there were no indications Gio was significantly injured. It's worth noting that Bernard missed time in Week 6 with a shoulder/collarbone injury, was limited in practice after Week 7 with a rib injury, and now suffered the hip injury against the Ravens. Advice: Floyd gave owners a brief scare early when Eagles CB Bradley Fletcher landed on his knee, but injury was not the issue here. Floyd was targeted on three deep balls early, narrowly missing on two of them that could have been construed as drops. Frustratingly, the Cardinals did not manufacture any catches for Floyd on more high-percentage throws, instead drawing those up for Larry Fitzgerald (7-160-1 on 10 targets). Advice: Thoroughly ineffective for the second straight week, Tate was stuffed on a third-quarter red-zone carry, and lost eight touches to Terrance West in addition to two to Isaiah Crowell. Fantasy owners should be thankful Tate scored a five-yard rushing touchdown late in the third quarter, effectively salvaging his fantasy day. ESPN Cleveland believes that OC Kyle Shanahan has concerns about Ben Tate as the Browns' feature back.

Advice: Tate has started or led the backfield in touches in every game he's been healthy, but Shanahan's comments about wanting "one of the backs to separate" suggests the Browns aren't sold on him carrying the load. There could be a changing of the guard if Tate continues to struggle and one of Isaiah Crowell or Terrance West emerges with a hot-hand. Tate has a 2.8 YPC over the last two games. Crowell has been the most productive and could start to see his role increased. The Browns have the most invested in West as a third-round pick. Rotoworld.com

  • Browns will not force the ball to Cameron
Browns coach Mike Pettine said the team will not force the ball to Jordan Cameron.

Advice: "If he’s open in the read and the ball gets thrown to him, he needs to catch it," Pettine said, "but we’re not going to force a ball to somebody." Cameron has seen 5.2 targets a game this year after seeing the ball come his way 7.9 times a contest last season. He has also been far less efficient, catching just 38% of his targets on the season. Cameron has the talent to turn it around, but he will need more consistent targets and more consistent quarterback play to regain top-five tight end status. Rotoworld.com

  • Chris Johnson (ankle) officially probable
Chris Johnson (ankle) is listed as probable for Week 8.

Advice: Johnson practiced in full despite being on the injury report. He isn't a recommended option for Sunday's matchup with Buffalo's top-five run defense. Rotoworld.com

  • Saints rule out Khiry Robinson, Pierre Thomas
Khiry Robinson (forearm) has been ruled out for Week 8 against the Packers.

Advice: Robinson referred to his injury as "a little boo-boo" earlier in the week, but the Saints' medical staff clearly disagrees. As Pierre Thomas has also been ruled out, New Orleans' backfield will be dominated by Mark Ingram and Travaris Cadet versus Green Bay's No. 31 run defense. The stars have aligned for a bounce-back game for Ingram after last week's clunker against Detroit. Rotoworld.com

  • Jimmy Graham listed as questionable
Jimmy Graham (shoulder) is listed as questionable for Week 8 against the Packers, but is expected to play.

Advice: He was limited in practice all week. Expect more usage for Graham against Green Bay after he was targeted just twice in last Sunday's loss to Detroit, and played fewer than 50 percent of New Orleans' offensive snaps. Rotoworld's Pat Daugherty ranks Graham as this week's No. 4 overall tight end play, behind only Julius Thomas (played Thursday), Rob Gronkowski, and Greg Olsen. Rotoworld.com

Giovani Bernard (ribs) is listed as probable for Week 8.

Advice: Bernard is averaging 3.39 YPC on the season if you leave out his 89-yard touchdown run in Week 6 against the Panthers. He's also on pace for fewer receptions than he had as a rookie. With A.J. Green (toe) listed as doubtful and Marvin Jones on I.R., the Bengals will need Bernard to step up his play to have a chance to stay competitive in Sunday's clash with Baltimore. • Ronnie Hillman to remain Broncos starting RB?
The Denver Post believes the Broncos will be "hard pressed" to turn back to Montee Ball (groin) as their lead running back when healthy.

Advice: We don't think it's likely at all. Ronnie Hillman has given Denver's offense an entirely new dimension with big-play ability on outside runs, whereas Ball struggled mightily when he was asked to move laterally. Ball was effective in a change-of-pace role behind Knowshon Moreno down the stretch last season. That may be his role upon return. Although he is being pulled on goal-line runs, Hillman has a chance to provide borderline RB1 value the rest of the way. Rotoworld.com

  • Juwan Thompson rushes for two touchdowns
Juwan Thompson rushed seven times for 24 yards and two touchdowns in Denver's Week 8 win over the Chargers.

Advice: Thompson vultured workhorse Ronnie Hillman for two- and one-yard scores in the second half. The touchdowns were his second and third of the season. Thompson has been running well as a situational hammer, but will likely lose that role upon Montee Ball's (groin) return. Rotoworld.com

  • Hillman has bad TD luck, but totals 138 yards
Ronnie Hillman rushed 20 times for 109 yards in the Broncos' Week 8 win over the Chargers, catching 3-of-4 targets for an additional 29 yards.

Advice: The 138 yards from scrimmage were Hillman's most in his three games as starter, but it's his amazingly-bad touchdown luck that will have owners talking on Friday. Hillman had five potential scores wiped away by happenstance and shenanigans. In no particular order, Hillman: Lost a touchdown by stepping out of bounds, had a score wiped out by holding, lost a shot at a goal-line carry thanks to a botched snap and watched Juwan Thompson vulture not one, but two TDs. The good news, if you want to look at it that way, is that Hillman was in position for so many touchdowns, and continues to run circles around the work Montee Ball did before going down with a groin injury. Ball will have a role when he returns, but it's getting harder to believe it won't be as Hillman's caddie. Rotoworld.com

Travis Kelce (ribs) remained limited in Thursday's practice.

Advice: Kelce's availability for Sunday's game against the Rams doesn't appear to be in doubt. His status will be worth double-checking, but owners can keep Kelce plugged in as a boom-or-bust TE1. Rotoworld.com

Khiry Robinson (forearm) remained sidelined at Saints practice Thursday.

Advice: Robinson has referred to his injury as a "little boo-boo," but his Week 8 status is up in the air. At the very least, he needs to get in a limited session on Friday. Mark Ingram is shaping up as a legit RB2 when Robinson banged up and Pierre Thomas (shoulder) sidelined. Rotoworld.com

Jimmy Graham (shoulder) remained limited in Thursday's practice.

Advice: Graham will likely remain limited on Friday ahead of earning a "questionable" tag for Sunday's game against the Packers. Barring a setback, Graham is going to play, but his workload will be hard to predict after he was limited to two targets in Week 4. With Graham's upside so immense, he's Rotoworld's No. 4 tight end for Week 8 despite his dodgy health. Rotoworld.com

  • Travaris Cadet on track for bigger role
Travaris Cadet will likely be "heavily involved" in the pass game Sunday.

Advice: Pierre Thomas (shoulder) is not expected to play and Jimmy Graham (shoulder) could be limited again. Cadet, a strict passing back, has been integrated into the gameplan early over the last three weeks anyway, posting a 15-129-1 line through the air. Owners in full-PPR leagues could stream Cadet into their lineups and safely project 4-6 catches in a game that has the week's highest over/under (56). Rotoworld.com

Advice: Robinson said he has a "little boo-boo," but he's "straight." We'll see if he gets back to practice Thursday. If Robinson can't play, Mark Ingram would likely handle 15-18 carries as a solid RB2 against the Packers' No. 31 run defense. Rotoworld.com
