  • Arians talks up Michael Bush signing
When discussing the signing of RB Michael Bush, coach Bruce Arians said, "We need a guy who's gonna pound it in there and close out games for us."

Advice: It can be taken as a sign the Cardinals are going to use Bush in goal-line and short-yardage situations. With Andre Ellington averaging over 20 touches per game and looking like he may need a breather, it's not out of the question that Bush will step into a prominent role. It's a hit to Ellington's value, but we could also argue it's a boost. Ellington is most effective when he's fresh, and less touches would make him more explosive. He's still a solid RB1/2. • Nick Toon has three-catch night vs. Ravens
Saints WR Nick Toon played 44-of-74 snaps in Monday's loss to the Ravens, catching 3-of-5 targets for 42 yards.

Advice: Each of the catches, yards and targets were the most of Toon's thus far dismal three-year career. He had previously never caught more than one pass in a game. The New Orleans Times-Picayune expects Toon to maintain a role for however long Robert Meachem (ankle) is sidelined. It's nice to see Toon finally getting some regular-season run, but he's highly unlikely to come into 2014 fantasy value. Rotoworld.com

DeMarco Murray is confident he can keep up at his current workload.

Advice: Murray is averaging 27.8 touches per game. "As the year goes on, you feel better," Murray said Tuesday. "I feel like I’ve gotten stronger throughout the year, so I have to continue to work hard during the week and it’ll show up on Sundays." The Cowboys have actually eased off the throttle a bit with Murray in recent weeks, giving him an average of "just" 25 touches over their past four games. • 'Without question' Lynch ready for Thursday
Profootballtalk reports Marshawn Lynch (back, illness) will "without question" play against the 49ers on Thanksgiving.

Advice: It's not a surprise, as coach Pete Carroll essentially guaranteed on Monday that Beast Mode would suit up for Seattle's grudge match with the 49ers. Lynch has been playing mostly dominant football, but on a short week against a tough run defense, he'll be a lower-end RB1 for Week 13. Rotoworld.com

  • Cardinals sign veteran back Michael Bush
    Cardinals signed RB Michael Bush.

Advice: RB Kerwynn Williams has been waived in a corresponding roster move. Bush's name may sound like a blast from the past, but he appeared in 15 games for the Bears last season. Bush was dreadful during his two years in Chicago, averaging just 3.4 yards on 177 carries. He brings tons of experience to a backfield that lacks it, however. Although Andre Ellington's production has declined as his carries have increased and the schedule stiffened, Bush is zero threat to his No. 1 status. It's quite possible Bush will be no higher than No. 4 on the depth chart, but he could rise as high as No. 2. Rotoworld.com

Advice: The Super Bowl-contending Broncos simply couldn't stick with McManus any longer, as he'd missed four of his first 13 field-goal attempts, including one in Sunday's win over the Dolphins. Barth has been accurate throughout his career with a big leg, but missed all of 2013 with an Achilles' injury. He was released by the Bucs at final cuts. He practiced on Friday and is expected to practice this week before suiting up against the Bills. Joe Morgan caught one pass for 62 yards and rushed one time for 67 yards in the Saints' Week 12 loss to the Ravens.

He roasted a hobbled Keenan Lewis for a 40-yard catch-and-run in the second quarter to set up Justin Forsett's 13-yard touchdown. Lynch missed a number of plays in Sunday's win over the Cardinals because he was "sick to his stomach," Carroll said after the game. Advice: Free agent Jay Feely will visit Denver on Tuesday. Brandon McManus missed another field goal in Sunday's win over the Dolphins, prompting disgust and disbelief on the Broncos' sideline. The second-year undrafted free agent is just 9-of-13 on the year. DeMarco Murray rushed 24 times for 121 yards in the Cowboys' Week 12 win over the Giants on Sunday night.

Advice: He added two catches for 22 yards. It's a disappointing game for Murray's standard, as the Giants came into Sunday night as the worst-ranked run defense. Murray didn't make any impact runs, but consistently picked up yardage against stacked eight-man fronts. Murray hasn't shown any signs of wearing down coming off the Cowboys' bye. Marshawn Lynch rushed 15 times for 39 yards and caught three passes for 43 yards in Sunday's 19-3 win over the Cardinals.

Advice: Lynch missed two series in the first quarter after his troublesome back tightened up on him. He returned to a featured role, but didn't quite look like himself and was facing a strong-tackling Cardinals defense that was swarming. So Lynch owners should consider themselves lucky to come away with 82 total yards given the situation. Advice: Conventional wisdom suggests the Seahawks will part ways with their enigmatic star after this season, but that is far from guaranteed. Lynch is still one of the top backs in the league and makes plays seemingly every game that only a few players in the league can make. Seattle has plenty of cap space to both sign Russell Wilson to a long-term extension and hold onto Lynch for another run in 2015.
